mao4brats!
P.S. It wasn't jc911truth who compared Obama to Hitler. That dishonor belongs to grieving4mycountry. Who seems to have absented himself. (they do that)
What you object to are the October Desperation Talking Points.
McCain supporters have no platform, he hasn't really given them any. They offer no ideas, nor does he.
They stand for nothing and can't admit that Bush was their false messiah, they can't hope to win without trashing the opponent in whatever ways they imagine will work.
More people will recognize their contempt for the American public by being tarred by ridiculous statements like
- you're not from a 'pro-America state'
- you only went to that Obama rally because you re feeble minded and can't see he's really HitlerMore people who might have supported Senator McCain will realize by seeing who supports him and how radically out of touch they really are, that maybe The Old Mavericks not really the guy they want as President.

At last! Here they are! October's desperation talking points!
grieving4ourcountry informs us that if you were one of 175,000 dupes who attended any of the Obama rallies you did so out of historical ignorance that Obama meant only to lead "thousands astray."
Astray. Off Course. Turned away. Terrifying images. Massive numbers of fender benders, car crashes, unprecedented numbers of fatalities - Anarchy must follow.
With the utmost respect for those who watched Senator Obama, we now know that he "was only effective because those who listened to him chose NOT to think and to examine whether he was correct in what he was saying.."
WOW. What a winner! Another modest guy who loves America and Americans!
Now I'm pretty ancient, but I've never heard of anyone, or read of anyone who ever lived who knew with such certainty what 175,000 strangers were or weren't thinking in the comfort of their own skulls.
But the omniscience gets better.
"Wow - you're right! Obama really does embody the consummate persuasive politician who has the ability to draw huge crowds like this. It really is mesmerizing - much like Hitler's hypnotic ability to control the simple-minded masses of Germany who were so eager to embrace his agenda for change that they chose not to look carefully beneath the surface. The naive and foolish believe everything; but a wise man considers his steps."
More love of country gushes forth!
then,
"And the difference between Hitler and Martin Luther King is significant, to say the least. King inspired the masses by speaking the truth; Hitler through persuasive rhetoric that was full of error. Obama is no Martin Luther King! "
Then the final lead balloon moment.
"And just in case you're interested, which I'm somehow certain you're not, I happen to love the Jewish people deeply and am heartened by the number of my Jewish friends who recognize that an Obama presidency would be a dangerous thing indeed."
If you wander over to
http://current.com/items/89418382_west_virginia_going_blue
You'll find the following quote..from vietnamvet
"Remember that guy in Germany in 1933? He was a great talker & swayed the youth of the country. MY how history has a way of repeating itself. "
So there it is. Swaddled in patriotism, somewhere the talking points are taking shape and now it's time to be bombarded by attempts to link Senator Obama with a racist, narcissistic, homicidal, psychopathic, war loving, hate consumed, extremist symbol of violent Aryan Purity.
To fully understand this we must see clearly that
1/ Senator Obama, who decidedly isn't Martin Luther King Jr, cannot hide from the fact that he is not who he says he isn't. That, and Martin Luther King Jr., wasn't Hitler either and didn't think he was.. Either.
2/ By telepathic osmosis Hitler has taught wicked Obama every historical precedent he needed to become a Summa Cum Laude Harvard Law wonk, and mysteriously overwhelm credulous crowds with professorial "hypnotism".
3/ Lastly, if Jewish you must be aware that all grieving4ourcountry's Jewish neighbors say they are equally terrified of seeing the death camps come back – why? Because a guy with zero history of violence and the patience of a saint - is gonna recreate the Third Reich - for no plausible reason.
Breathtaking. Simply breathtaking.

I doubt that anyone who could write such nonsense, to insult 175,000 people and by extension an entire nation, will ever seriously rethink whether, maybe, just maybe, it might have been just a bit pretentious and extreme to do so.
It's rare that rationality, balance, in a word, maturity are characteristics of political passion. So probably this guy thinks he's written a definitive critique of exactly what's wrong with half the country - to quote Captain Beefheart - they've been "booglarized."
This is nothing he feels obliged to elaborate on. Nothing which he can articulate, he just imagines millions of people magically turned into robotic drones with Bad Ideas for democracy. A state he wishes exclusively to define for everyone else.
A tactic typical of a guy desperately afraid that Obama really is genuinely popular and respected - a thought he can't allow in his head - cause re-evaluation is scary.
Any bets?

whose country are you grieving for dummy. You speak of the people Obama is leading astray and how they won't see what's under the cover...what's that griever?-that blacks will be running the country? You too man.
In this racist ass country, one can draw many parallels between him and Dr. Rev. MLK Jr. The biggest is that there are racist pigs out there ready to put a bullet in him for doing what he's doing simply because he's black. Oh the nigger has lost his mind and is way out of his place. You speak of his "substance"?? Dude go to wikipedia and read his list of accomplishments, that's basic....Do it, I dare you to read what all he's done...then think of the most successful person in your realm and cipher. That person wouldn't have accomplished a third of what he has. Yeah, He's not a fake maverick. He never crashed three planes and spilled the beans after being captured, whereas others captured didn't speak a word like Mccain did. You're calling him hitler because he can galvanize an audience...Hitlers audience was poor, tired and cold...Here millionaires and poor alike will be voting for obama, blacks, whites, asians, not because of race. Simply because he @#@'ing qualified. On the contrary it is mccain and republicans who have been manipulating poor ass americans who don't make a lick over 50,000 to vote for them and their agendas. Keeping their own pockets rich and making you feel great that 1. white man still runs country 2. their chistians . All the while riling you up about pre-term abortions, gays and the good ol useful lie of racism. Yeah, you worry about unborn babies, condone killing full grown adults by death penalty. You're not God. You don't get to decide who goes and who stays. - 3 years ago

Get down brotha! I am surprised by some of the nonsense people are saying out in public and in blogs or posting on current. Thank God we have made progress as a nation and the masses are turned-off by such racist nonsense. There is hope. I think the internet has been integral to Obamas campaign and keeping people informed on "what is what". The info control brokers in DC would love it if people were restricted to getting their news and info from lamestream media like Fox.

grieving4ourcountry, It is far more worrisome the mindlessness that led people to vote for Bush the man that has had prison camps built in every state and built up his private military with our money. This man has brought back troops from Iraq to quell expected civil unrest. What are you going to do when he turns against you?
Barack Obama is not the leader that has done that. George W. (Decider) Bush is the one that is setting things up like Hitler did.

Ability to motivate + ability to draw crowds = dumb, Nazi-like masses. Great logic (note sarcasm).
To equate good leadership with ignorant masses is atrocious logic. Obama has a number of innovative ideas which hopefully will be implemented.

The depth of your ignorance is great. You are lucky to be one who will benefit from the Change Candidate Obama when he takes office in November. I'd venture to say you will also be a great ingrate. The parade is building as it tours the country and the dogs are barking louder and louder.

Hmmm - don't think I mentioned anything about the Democratic party or the Nazi party. I was referring to the masses who flocked to listen unthinkingly to Hitler's persuasive rhetoric. My father once heard him in Germany and said it was chilling to hear and see the effect he had on the people who seemed not to care at all about whether he was speaking the truth or not.
And the difference between Hitler and Martin Luther King is significant, to say the least. King inspired the masses by speaking the truth; Hitler through
persuasive rhetoric that was full of error. Obama is no Martin Luther King!
And bringing up Hitler was intended to be worrying. His ability to lead thousands astray was only effective because those who listened to him chose NOT to think and to examine whether he was correct in what he was saying. That is precisely what I find so chilling in the way people are following blindly after Obama. I grant you he is smooth, polished and charming, but terrifyingly so! Definitely form over substance.
I'm not a huge McCain fan; but Obama scares me to death. The man's probably a pretty decent guy as people in general go; but his policies will lead this country straight into socialism.
As for your remarks about a McCain-Palin pro-American and anti-American ideology fitting a German model of eugenics - frankly I find that line of thinking offensive. They are not the ones who condone the slaughter of millions of innocent unborn children.
And just in case you're interested, which I'm somehow certain you're not, I happen to love the Jewish people deeply and am heartened by the number of my Jewish friends who recognize that an Obama presidency would be a dangerous thing indeed. - 3 years ago

I would hardly see any parallel between the Democratic party of America and the Nazi party, or of Hitler and Obama.
Obama reminded me of Luther King.
McCain - Palins new 'Pro-American and Anti American' ideology seem to fit more with the German model you refer to, in the Jesuits, Gypsies and Jews were deemed too be 'Not real Germans' in-fact not real people.
Bringing up Hitler is rather worrying in itself. It will be eugenics next I suppose.
As my father is Jewish I find your remarks offensive. - 3 years ago

Exactly. Have you noticed how Many leading Republics have endorsed Obama. It doesn't take much intelligence or wisdom at all to see that the clear choice is Obama. The undecided voter...what a joke at this point. Even Colin Powell has come out for Obama. I'm sure annoying dogs will just keep barking as the parade passes.

as a lot of americans have. even many who voted for bush once.. even twice want change at this point. obama's drawing large crowds because of just how many american's want change .. and as maccain/palin have demonstrated with their campaign of fear .. they are not change
at least not in the correct direction .. palin as president? wow.. that would be the final end of america with her over the top hate mongering - 3 years ago

Simply awesome. It takes more than just a great orator to draw crowds like this. His pure and powerful message of hope resounds in the hearts of his audience. McSame and Failin cannot compete with this. No spin, just the straight dope on all things relevant to this election. Unless you are a rich white racist Obama speaks directly to you and that's why he's captured the attention of millions here and around the world. You are witnessing historic once in a lifetime events taking place.
