I think Rush should shut the hell up. I'm not supporting Obama, but Col. Powell makes me optimistic about politics in America. He clearly thought out what he says and believes, and anyway if he wanted to vote for Obama if he was black HE WOULD OF PROBABLY OF COME OUT AND SUPPORTING HIM EARLY.

"I thought you liberals thought this was a historic candidacy because finally we are going to elect a black guy…why hide behind this, why act like it's not about race?" The fact that we're going to elect the first black president is historical, but does not mean that's the REASON people are voting for Obama.

We shouldn't deny that race is important in this election for various reasons- but implying that people are choosing their candidate ONLY on the color of their skin is not the same as commenting on the historical importance of it.

Gen. Powell stated quite clearly why he made his decision and as for supporting inexperienced white candidates, let's see - hmm, I'm thinking GEORGE BUSH!
