If the United States becomes more focused on protecting the environment in all ways, it will, in turn, benefit the country itself. Having cleaner air and water, conserving energy, living in better planned communities and developing new technologies will help all Americans live better lives and have a better future. Not only that, these new products and services that are developed will be ones that America can export to the world to the benefit of others and economically to ourselves. Let's hope that Obama is truly serious about protecting the environment and developing a strong clean energy policy and that it is not just campaign rhetoric. At least he will have to be better than the current President Bush.

I hope the environmentalists influence Barack enough for him to make a lot more electric cars for the country, alternative energy products should be allowed as well...not to mention anti-plastic bags and recyclement of trash to fuel homes nationwide..

Although I am more 'liberal' & 'green'... my choice is Barack Obama for President. If you are undecided and you care how US policies affect the environment, please check out the (official) Barack Obama website especially for 'green' people.
