Thursday, October 30, 2008:
John McCain held a rally in Defiance, Ohio, today with an estimated crowd of 6,000 people. Apparently two thirds of that crowd were school children which were bused in to fill the crowd. This is the same rally in which Mccain announced Joe the Plumber and called to Joe to introduce him to the crowd, but Joe was nowhere to be found

    • I live in Florida and already waited in line to vote for Obama. Things are much closer here than the polls are showing and McCain could very well win this state. A PAC is about to start running Reverend Wright ads nationally from now till election day.

If you want Obama to win - GO VOTE! A few hours in line to get Obama elected is worth the alternative any day. GO VOTE and take your friends!

    • Did they use district school buses? If so, what an interesting use of taxpayers' money - shuttling children to a political campaign rally

    • That is crazy! Could he not find any adults to attend his rally? Children should be in school learning, not at a rally where obscenities and hatred is shouted (as often happens at McCain/Palin rallies and possibly Obama rallies too). This is not okay. I'm sure they are under 18; they probably dont even know who he is. What a waste of time and dollars. Not a good sign.

    • I have lived all over the country and have never seen any school let children go on a field trip without written permission from a parent.Did the article say all the students went?I would object to my child being used a a political prop and to my tax money being used to transport children for that purpose. Doesn't seem kosher to me.And how pathetic can you get.I can see a McCain staffer asking an Obama staffer after this is over "Just how do you bus 100,000 peopleand where do you get them"?
