From yesterday's "60 Minutes", Andy Rooney said he will be eagerly awaiting the loser's concession speech. In this video, he dissects presidential race concession speeches of the past.
It seems like the "losers" usually take the high road and thank supporters and congratulate the winner. Usually. But the one moment of truth came out in a concession statement from when Harry Truman beat Henry Wallace in 1948. A conscientious staff member wrote a congratulatory note for Wallace to send to Harry Truman.
Wallace took one look at the note and said, "Under no circumstances will I congratulate that sunova bitch."
And there you have it, no other truer statement has ever been uttered by a Presidential loser.
