A man in Austria kept his daughter locked in basement as a sex slave for 24 years being charged with murder; incent rape, and false imprisonment and slavery. His seven children died in infancy and other six children survived. Fritzl’s infant son died from lack of medical care although he would have survived if Fritzl had arranged for medical care. The trial is expected to begin early in 2009 and if convicted of murder Fritzl could face 10 to 20 years in prison. Austria, like other European countries, has no death penalty. A prosecutor says that he should be kept rest of his life in mental asylum.
