i think there should be certain places where it is OK to be nude and even have sex outside (hetero or homo it shouldn't matter) and everybody should know where these places are so they can avoid them if they don't want to see it
or so they could go there if they domaybe they should put a sign up that says "warning sexual actions ahead continue at your own risk"

Fucking gross and out of line.
In the future she should just carry a high-powered BB gun with her and take matters into her own hands if necessary.
Well, if the cops aren't going to do anything, then capping them in the ass with a BB seems like a reasonable alternative. It's not like they could run after her with their pants around their ankles.
As I said, fucking gross and out of line.
BTW...I would recommend the same solution even if it were a problem with straight couples repeatedly having sex in a public setting.
That's what bedrooms, houses, or at least private property is for people, take that sh*t where it belongs.

This is the fault of the poster for putting 'Open air gay sex allowed'. The fact Gay Sex has been mentioned as a sore point is why people are going nuts. I agree it isn't right for anybody of any sexual persuasion to shag in the open, but why should gay men doing it be more shocking than a bunch of hetero doggers doing it?
It's been written by the daily mail, so people are gonna get all defensive of the gay community.
I think whats MORE shocking that the police are doing nothing about it thought. If it's because it's a 'gay' site then thats just reverse discrimination.

This points out that two adults are having sex in public...nothing new about that except that it's in a park in plain view.

Having sex in a public area is retarded. If you want to have sex in the open air then find a place that isn't near a path.
however, that is probably what was thrilling....the idea of getting caught. I want to see someone have sex I have the internet that will lead me right to that. I don't need to be eye raped.

Personally I think theres nothing wrong with it... but then again I'm also for a more liberal society where children are taught about sex from a young age to de-mystify it and for it too be taught in a factual and honest way. But unfortunatly due to the opression of our feelings for hundreds of years. most Britians won't agree with me.. Shame.
and honestly I'm 18! I'd be offended if a new report called me a "child" I am by law an adult!
ps. also just noticed that this article is the daily fail... seriously, right wing, conservative, near-nazi propoganda if ever I've read it.

I agree with pokinsmot and diode, but I can also see how a story like this can be taken easily out of context. yes, the police should enforce the law, but if it's an area where something like this happens often, then people should also be warned by police to avoid it if they don't wish to be offended - I don't see anything wrong with the police advising that the mother takes a different route in future in this context.

Keep it in your home people. A public place has to take into consideration that you just don't want to see this kind of behavour. If you insite of being outsid, go well out the way, not a popular landmark like a park.

What about the English couple that were caught having sex on the beach in Dubia? They were arrested, put on trial, found guilty, and then put in jail! Gay or straight, we all should be accountable to the law of the land! It is up the police to inforce the law equally!

i just can't bring myself to care. we really do live in a prudish society when you think about it. yeah, it's a bit gross and offensive to my cultural values, but so is any sort of public display of affection. doesn't mean i think they should be discouraged by police coercion. not only are we a culture of prudes, but a culture of tattletales.

It's simply illegal to have sex in public. It's an injustice to allow a couple to be given immunity simply because they happen to be gay.
The justification of saving the couple from potential embarrassment simply does not stand; If they didn't want their activities to be made public, they should not have committed them in public.

Enough with the homophobia. I dont condone the actions these two men engaged in, however, these actions are not just "gay" acts. Heterosexuals engage in public sex also. Public indecency is public indecency. Why is okay and cool for straight guys to join the "mile high club"? How many straight men pick up prostitutes and engage in sexual acts in public? Society sets up double standards based on heteronormative sexual behavior. Public sex is a problem for both heterosexuals and homosexuals and it needs to be addressed.

Sorry Steven44 i disagree- its not a gay rights issue- gay sex was illegal- its not now, its an issue of some up-tight lady with her grown daughter not being able to talk about sex while walking in the woods. My elderly mother and I were walking down the street in San Francisco and saw two homeless people having sex. It was nasty as fuck, but we could at least appreciate that the were enjoying it, before we called the cops for indecent exposure.
And Diode i am defending this because it shouldn't fucking matter, maybe if americans (or Brits) were more exposed to sex, they could talk about it, they might be a little safer and . . . not get divorced so often? Or at least have a little more fun in bed!

Imagine your morning stroll. All you want to do is to enjoy the rising sun's glow on your skin. When you find a couple enjoying the sun too much with their birthdays suits in full view having hot sex.

But there is something wrong with that. There are certain things that are not meant to be done in public and sex, of any orientation, is precisely one of those. At the very least they're breaking an indecent exposure law.

See, this type of attitude does not help the cause. Hell no, you can't break the law, I don't care who you are, or your sexual preferences are. You just don't do that in public! I mean who you sleep with is your own business, but where you sleep with them may become someone elses. I don't wanna see it, and I am sure many others don't either. Take it inside, get a room, or like dude says go up into the mountains where only the bears know what your doing! Shit! commonsense.

"But Mr Cunningham, who is also a spokesman on homosexual issues for the Association of Chief Police Officers, argues that offenders should only be prosecuted as a last resort because of the potential impact on their lives of making their activities public."
thats just stupid... if you dont wanna be found out, DONT DO IT IN PUBLIC! gay or straight, the park isnt yours... have some consideration for other people... if a straight couple can get busted for doing this, then the same should happen to a gay couple... you wanna have sex outdoors? go camping way out in the bush...
i wouldnt want my kids seeing this, regardless of the sexual orientation of the act...
