With Ass-hole kid action comes his dad to give him Ass-hole punishment. I think this is going to be good
for the kid. So in the future when he can't make up his
mind or has done some really stupid shit, he will
remember that walking showed him the way. I think
that walking is therapeutic and I always do it when I
get too frustrated or can't seem to make up my mind. - 3 years ago

I can't believe everyone's so welcome to agree with this kid's punishment - I don't even remember being 5 years old. And my Mom or Dad wouldn't have even let me ride my bike to school let alone make me walk 2 and a half hours. That just seems crazy.
5 year olds no the difference between right and wrong if you teach them... he's just going to resent his Dad from this punishment rather than learn anything.

The ONLY problem I foresee is at that age, by the time He gets to the school, He'll be too exausted to LEARN anything...maybe limiting some "play" time & priviliges @ HOME might be a partial solution...& MAYBE the bus driver needs to be checked up on...some adults can STILL be bullies taking advantage of the helpless...discipline is one thing, power-mad assholes need to be taken out of Our childrens lives.(actually, power-mad assholes just need to be TAKEN OUT!)

Finally, a parent not blaming others for his child's misbehavior. Kudos to this DAD and may many more take his advice and actions..

Oh man thats awesome , imagine walking with your dad everyday thats cool, at the same time he has the oportunity to talk with his father and do exercise.
People dont like to walk anymore, they think is boring to me is the best exercise ever.
Not many kids have the chance to talk with their parents like that.
I hope he will enjoy it. - 3 years ago

Well, who knows what was the Bus Driver doing? I think this is quite hard for a five year old. Yet, kind of admirable.

This is great because all the time spent with the son and dad walking for for 2 and half hours would build chemistry.

And the best part is, if you go to the article and see, he is walking with his son. It is easy to tell someone how to be responsible, but to show them takes a commitment that seems neglected too often.

Yes ,samthesixth, it is parenting.
Way too often parents try to right their children's wrongs instead of making them deal with the consequences of their actions.
Absolutely...father of the year!

And probably made me dress funny ... as in wearing an a reflective orange jumpsuit over my school clothes to make sure no car hit me! Yeah! Not kidding!
