Jason Shepard and Matthew Shepard's murders

On November 21, William Smithson, 43, of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to life in prison for the September 2006 strangulation murder of 23-year-old Jason Shephard. Smithson, a homosexual, murdered Shephard after slipping him GHB, a date rape drug, then hid the body in the basement of his home.
It is ironic that liberals used the murder ten years ago of Matthew Shephard to push for hate crimes laws -- yet remain largely silent about the murder of Jason Shephard
Two other murders committed by homosexual men have met with relative silence in the homosexual community -- the murder of 13-year-old Jesse Dirkhising in Arkansas in 1999, and the 2002 murder of Mary Stachowicz in Chicago.
The liberal media and gay activists are manipulating the public opinion by manipulating the news on a daily basis

Here's the difference between this murder and Matthews murder......Matthew was killed strictly because he was Gay and for no other reason, you don't seem to have any details about this murder and why Jason was killed. Why don't you write about the things you know and stop making assumptions about what the "liberals" are doing to the media.

I thought the idea was to know things so as to have a rounder opinion of what is going on. If people don't know that homosexuals are normal like everyone else....then how are they to be accepted?
The fact that they are not immune to having murderers within their mist is more proof that they too are just like everyone else. They have no special powers.
Though they have to have a special parade to prove how much they love themselves.....but aside from that they are just like everyone else.

A gay man commits a horrible crime so that means we need to tell the world so they know what ignorant bigots and hypocrites think all gay people are like?
Thanks for trying to disparage me and my brothers and sisters in the gay community, but sorry, I never raped anybody nor do I ever have any intention of even thinking about that. People don't need to be afraid of us because of one man's crime you dumb piece of shit.
It would amaze me to see how much disregard someone can have over hiding such an outstanding amount of blatant ignorance if the person I was talking about was not soleil.
If I was that dumb I'd keep my mouth shut more often, do the world a favor soleil and take that advice.

No, the issue is that the liberal media tells the whole world about one murder and is completely silent about another.
The media is manipulating public opinion with false information.
Just read your post again and change the word " gay " to the word "straight" then you can apply what you feel to others

"Smithson, a heterosexuall, murdered Shephard after slipping him GHB, a date rape drug, then hid the body in the basement of his home."
If Shephard were a woman there still would be something wrong with the hypothetical statement above.
"Smithson, an Asian, murdered Shephard after slipping him GHB, a date rape drug, then hid the body in the basement of his home."
"Smithson, a Christian, murdered Shephard after slipping him GHB, a date rape drug, then hid the body in the basement of his home."
"Smithson, a Muslim, murdered Shephard after slipping him GHB, a date rape drug, then hid the body in the basement of his home."
So you wouldn't find anything wrong with these hypothetical statements? No group of people should be type-casted.

It matters not what is right and what shouldn't be done....articles do it all the time. If it were a Christian it would state they were. If a Priest touched a boy...that's what it says. It never says "A man molested a boy." It says "A priest from (such and such a place) molested a boy."
You probably made jokes that deal with that very topic.

Faux, I may agree in general with your statement but in many case these details have to do with the story.
We do not like it when it is one of our own but we often use it when it is not.
This story came to the surface because both young victims have the same last name.
One has been spoken about at great length for many years. The other was not reported by the media who could not escape to notice the coincidence but instead choose to be silent.
This is why more and more people a stopping to read, hear or watch all the mass media.
When they go out of business, I will not go to their funeral

Well obviously a person would come to the conclusion that Smithson is a homosexual because of the fact that he raped another man. Why would you need to reinstate that fact?
When a straight man rapes a woman is it necessary for a journalist to inform it's readers that the man is a heterosexual? It is not necessary and it would not happen unless the journalist was trying to disparage the heterosexual communities.
I am sorry I called you a dumb piece of shit, it was not ok for to say that to you. I am also sorry that I pointed out the fact that you're ignorant.

In the case of Matthew Shepard, the whole story was reported as the murder of a gay man by straight people for months and months.
That is the same thing.
But then later on, ABC news which is quite liberal made an indepth reporting and said that it was not about Shepard being gay at all.
Once again, the issue here is that if someone is still getting information by the mass media, over time, they are being slowly brainswashed to fit someone else agenda
During the last week, you are the 4th person apologizing. That is a big surprise. I appreciated it
I never use profanity in front of my kids. One day, I said the word "damn". They were totally shocked.
I will never forget their reaction. - 3 years ago

Mathew was killed because he was gay.
Smithson isn't rapist because he's gay, he's a rapist because he is a fucked up man. That kind of behavior is inexcusable and is not acceptable in our community.
There is a major difference between the type of attention you're trying to bring to the Smithson story and what type of attention people tried to bring to the Matthew Shepard story.
Mathew had been drinking and he hit on somebody who didn't appreciate it very much. He was human and he had been drinking, I can relate to him completely. I live in rural Minnesota. Unfortunately, I have ran into the same problem. I thank the baby Jesus for blessing me with friends that are forgiving and understanding, lol.
Do you know what it's like to bleed because somebody doesn't think it's right for you be something you have no control over? It's discouraging, but I'm stronger now. I wasn't beaten for hitting on somebody, I was beaten for showing up to a party where some drunk rednecks knew I was gay. It's a small town.
Hate crimes are real. Smithson didn't rape that man because he is a horrible gay, he did it because he is a horrible person. So quit being one of those horrible heterosexuals and just leave us the fuck alone! Why can't you devote your time to something that is more important?? Pick an issue, the world Bush left us is full of them!
Honestly, I don't think you're a horrible heterosexual, I think that you probably have good intentions. However, your aim can really hurt people who have been struggling just to be accepted their whole lives. Being gay is not something we wake up and tell ourselves we'd like to try! It's horrible when we first discover that about ourselves! We deny it and pretend we can live a lie! If we're strong enough to muster up some courage to say who we are, we can get ridiculed and attacked. Not everyone of us have had to put up with that, but those of us that had to deal with those things will be the ones to win our equal rights.
I am sorry but I don't think our opposition's desire to repress us can ever trump our desire to be treated equal.
We will win.

Well here i was thinking that the media reported EVERY single murder perpetrated in the U.S. Thank you very much Soleil10 for opening up my eyes to how the media is so biased against straight people.
This is sarcasm by the way.

There are straight men who have murdered women. Also, with hate crime laws, how would you feel if you were attacked just because you're a Christian? That would be more hurtful than if someone hurt you because they wanted your wallet. Hate crime laws are there, because people who murder or attack someone based on race or sexuality or even religion are especially sick.

During the last 4 weeks we have witnessed many hate crimes in this country against people because if their religion and personal believes
Not one person in the media, not one politician lifted their finger to try to stop it.
Most of them were commited by gay activists in plain day light with all the justifications they could find.
From now on anytime an homosexual person will even mention the words hate crime, I have to ask him or her : What about November 2008 ?

All crimes against anyone is really hateful.
You steal...you're being hateful towards those that are trying to make a living. You dislike them enough to steal from them. You certainly don't love 'em enough to do right.
