Dogfighting subculture taking hold in Texas

Investigators found that dogfighting was on the rise in Texas and was much more widespread than they had expected.

The investigation led to the indictments of 55 people and the seizing of 187 pit bulls, breaking up what officials described as one of the largest dogfighting rings in the country.

    • BTW, did you all know that Michael Vick will be eligible as a free agent when he gets out of Prison? regardless of his so called ban for life from the NFL commissioner.

      Please, write the commissioner with your opinion, and donate to the SPCA of your choice.

      AND DON't hesitate to CALL THE POLICE IF YOU OVERHEAR DISCUSSION, OR DRIVE PAST SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY.

      Dog fighting happens more often and more places than you might believe. I was actually solicited to fight my lab cross while living in upstate new york!

    • The human race is no more civilized now than in the age of the gladiators. There have always been those that thrive on death and destruction and those that abhor it.

      Dogfighting is just a flash back to the Roman coliseum and the carnage that ensued there.

    • the 55 people should be thrown into a pit and told the last one standing gets 25 to life. the rest can be burried with the poor animals they abused and murdered for their own sick enjoyment

      funny how that works, you should all be prepared, were going to see some nasty things from the past reemerge if the economy continues to collapse
