Q: Will you consider legalizing marijuana so that the government can regulate it, tax it, put age limits on it, and create millions of new jobs and create a billion dollar industry right here in the U.S.? S. Man, Denton

A: President-elect Obama is not in favor of the legalization of marijuana.

Team responses to &"Open for questions" was published today. I'm dissappointed in what I read. Click "Open for Questions" from the home page.

But this doesn't mean we're done. This forum opens again this week. Let's tell him AGAIN. And let's KEEP telling him till he gets it.

    • Bush III in disguise. Sure he'll bring green jobs or something else so that it seems like there is change. Come on, face the reality, democrats and republicans are all the same. The change they bring is just a cover-up (like changes in taxes or something insignificant to political elites), so that people actually think they're vote is worth it. And to think the president actually has power to legalize it. Even if he wanted to, that's not what his puppet masters want. Don't expect anything from Nobama, just like you would expect from McCain. Both guys are puppets serving the same people. No not us either.

    • I'd definitely pose the question again...perhaps re-word it a bit. I'm very disappointed with the crap answer that the question received but I can't say that I'm suprised. The last thing any administration wants to talk about is weed. I do hope that we can get a more intelligent response next time...Hell even a decent acknowledgement of the issue would be nice, not just blow the question off.
We know that the time is now to legalize...it may take a bit of time for the folks in Washington to get up to speed.

    • President elect Obama wants to continue locking up mainly young Americans for ridiculous crimes?

We're looking straight in the face of a depression and he wants to ignore a potential billion dollar a year industry if not larger at our fingertips?

He gives us a straight NO, rather than I'll consider it?

He wants to continue the total waste of time, money & effort on the failed War on Drugs?

I refuse to accept that. If nobody beats me to it, I'm going to put the question in there again. Or I'll vote yes on yours. Let us speak out.

      Yes we can !!
