Sex scandals, kidnapping, harassment, bullying, drugs and.....cheerleading?
Believe it or not but cheerleading in the US has lost its innocence and in a big way.

2008 unearthed many cheerleading horrors and scandals some of which are just a little hard to believe.

Cheerleaders in Texas are being sent to trial after being accused of blindfolding junior cheerleaders, duct-taping their hands, "flicking their body parts", wrapping them in cling film and then pushing them into a swimming pool.

In Florida, six cheerleaders aged 14-17 put one girl in hospital after a beating that lasted half-an-hour and then reportedly tried to upload it to Myspace.

Also adding to the long list of scandals were drug busts, sexual harassment cases, countless naughty pictures being leaked and disgusting initiation rituals.

    • I wasn't ever a cheerleader. Too tall, too heavy, to clumsy bla, bla, bla. But now, post 10 year reunion, I'm glad I wasn't. All those girls were still stuck in the late 90's. Hair and all.

Anyway, I didn't know that that was the general perception. Makes me worry about my daughter doing the whole cheerleader thing. :- /

    • Huh! Well little shocks me and much of it is almost expected. I knew a few cheerleaders while I was in school and they were definitely nothing like the girls that the story talks about or you seem to have met.

From my perspective they were cliquishly snobs who thought they were too good for most people.... got fat and ugly after school..... and often were lacking in much between the ears.....not always, but often....

Sad what people will do to each other though isn't it?

    • Maybe it's time to end cheer leading because these are generally sluts who want attention at any cost. Is it worth it? i don't think so. If they want the kind of attention they seem to seek let them turn 18 then become porn stars.
I played ball in school like most guys and generally the cheerleaders were tramps I wouldn't screw with a stolen penis with a steel belted radial rubber.. That was 30 years ago. I don't imagine they're any less infected now than they were then. Now killing seems to be the name of the game all in the name of getting every dick on the team.

    • This does not in any way represent the entire cheerleading community, but definitely is an upsetting number of stories.. and sure describes an exhibition of bawdy behavior.
