    • Well, heck.......if we find ourselves in a world or a country where one group of people has no bread to eat and another group of people has an abundance of bread to eat, we need to figure out how to put our head between our legs and kiss our ass good by, because, other then ego, hunger will get people killed pretty quick!

    • In my estimation, war is the fancy of those who know they will never experience it's horror. I, for one, will never question the patriotism of one who has seen the consequences of war and will try whatever they can to attempt to end it. There need to be more people speaking up for peace, and more action taken to attain it. It's just sad that the killing of civilians is acceptable to both parties in this conflict. Between death and people leaving the region, there will nothing left to fight for...

    • Here's two bets that you can always win.

Bet #1 If Hamas and the Hez boys stop tossing rockets and suicide bombers at Israel. If they stop with the never ending stance that their goal is the total and complete destruction of Israel and if they work with Israel to develop commerce and mutual trade the war is over. Israel would not invade these cowboys if they would stop with the 6,000 rocket launches thrown willy nilly in to Israel since Hamas took over. Israel is made of traders, and yes warriors when they need to be.

Bet #2 You can want peace all day long but as long as their are animals and humans on the planet there will be conflict. This is our nature and kids you are not going to change it. Hell most of us don't get along with any number of people in stores or on the phone or what have you.

I know you don't want to hear this and I am not a war monger, this is just the way it is.

Not to say we shouldn't try, we should, be don't get too wound up when the world isn't all cozy and sweet.

On further thought I take that all back, perhaps we can have peace by one means.....Force.

    • If only there were Good Captains among Hamas
who wouldve stopped Hamas thousands of rockets into ISrael over the last few years - this whole war could have been avoided

No Hamas Rockets, No War in Gaza

      Simple as that.

    • This gentleman is right. It is easy to make war and blow things up. But we lose our humanity and spirt this way. A lot of people do not realize there is a peace movment in Israel. Hamas and the IDF are making really big mistakes. We will only get to peace when we convince the hidden hand that wages these wars to stop and come to the side of peace and tolerence.

    • GeoS:

In the final analysis it's up to the Palestinian people themselves. The only thing Hamas has done for them is to bring on privation and keep them in the crosshairs of a war they can't possibly win. Stopping Israel won't solve the problem.

The war in Lebanon just ended 2 years ago. International peace keepers are in place. Yet in the last handfull of hrs rockets are again being fired at Israel.

The problem lies neither with Hamas nor Hezbollah. The problem lies in hate. Arab hate. Whether you like them or not, the Jews have a right to exist. The problem emanates from those countries that disagree with that.

If you can change THAT, we can have peace.

id say that 99% of the world want peace at a subconscious level, unfortunately it is the other 1% that control the media and tell us what to do say think. They tell us what is right, what is wrong, what is hot, what is not, what is beauty, what it ugly, who are the enemy who are the ally.

    • They are not traitors, nor should they be patriots, for they are CARING, INTELLIGENT human beings, why are we busy fighting over imaginary Gods as reparation done because of previous belief in imaginary Gods.

This man is a very good example of how everyone should behave, but also understand a much higher noble than patriot. He's a victimized, kidnapped person just like the rest of them. We are just clueless to the fact that we don't know what's going on.

Is ignorance bliss when you cannot change it?

    • News to all non-Americans who obviously did not vote in the most recent presidential election... Americans did not elect Obama to fix the world but rather fix the US. If Israel and the rest of the Arabic, the blokes in the West Bank and Iran all want to go to war let them... as long as it does not interrupt the oil supply. These people have literally been fighting for centuries and nothing done in the next four years is going to stop them from hating each other. That is the problem when everyone thinks they are right.

    • UWAZell:

You do realize that Obama is going to whatever Israel asks him to do for the their interests? He's just another puppet. Americans elected Obama because their lives revolve around a television. The corporate puppet masters supply the puppets that will serve them best with air time (millions of dollars worth) so that their candidate wins. So even if you're really brainwashed into thinking that he's going to bring change, just remember that the Jewish community and the banks are the ones holding his strings from above. They decide where he walks and what words come out of his mouth.

Sorry, as logical as conspiracy theory's sounds to some, especially those blaming Jew's for everything... I choose not to buy into them. Under that logic there can be no US president who will actually be free with the 'evil Jewish control'.

    • Some of the greatest warriors in the world have led their lives through peace and guided others the same way, it is the ones who are the opposite that go down in history as the victors mostly, for most wars, if not all so far have been won over the bloodshed of the fallen, sad but true. Until we learn from some of our greatest leaders: Gandhi, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King Jr, we may not find the way to win till its to late. Yes it is written in the "Book" the end of days is coming, and even a seeing man can see such "for a blind has already seen." It is not a time for saying when exactly it will happen, but a time to prepare for when it does. I recommend if you haven't come to the faith of the Lord our savior who says the only way to salvation is through him, you get to stepping and soon.

    • If world war 3 begins Israel is not sitting in a good spot and most likely will be destroyed. So their best interest is to negotiate.

While I agree that the State of Israel needs to negotiate, or better yet enter a summit for peace with Hamas and other Palestinian groups, I disagree with your statement that Israel will be destroyed because of their geographical locale.
Israel has the most competent and aggressive military forces in the world with one of the most well-rounded missile supplies and systems.
I feel if the Obama Administration enters the fold with plans for diplomatic relations between Israel and Palestine that satisfy and serve them both, a WWIII scenario may not play out.

    • He was not saying anything that sounded like a traitor. Only true warriors speak against war. Both sides have chosen war. Both sides are wrong. An eye for an eye policy leaves a lot of blind people stumbling around in the dark. The world is tired of macho, so called leaders rattling their tin sabers. As so often happens it's not their sons and daughters on the battle fronts. If only they would show real leadership and set down at the peace table. "Give peace a chance". Perhaps if we all say it loud and long enough they will hear.

As a Patriot and a Veteran. I once read something about this. I'd like to share just a portion. The Monuments that We erect to the fallen in Glory. Are viewed by the Young and are inspired. The Veteran of the War looks on and shakes His/Her Head, in sorrow, at the next fallen to come.

    • This is one brave guy who is willing to speak the truth. I don't particularly care for the "slave" reference. That was unnecessary. But the gist of what he is saying is essentially true.
