Swear 14 times a day in the bloody U.K.

How do you remember how many times you swear per day? Seems unscientific, but hey, swear on Brit dudes and dudetts.

Sooo misleading. The average varies extremely everywhere. There are some people who curse constantly and some who never do.

I question the validity of this study. It was a survey where people answered with thier guess of how often they say things. The survey included just 2,319 people out of a population of 61 million.

This type of study cannot be viewed as anything but trivial. It is not accurate. If they did this survey every day with the same group of people the results could change. If they did it with other groups of people the results would change. If they surveyed everyone the results are still questionable. The only way to get the answer true is to follow all 61,000,000 around for about a year and make a note every time they curse and on which day. Then find the average day for each person, and then find the average of all people. Until then, just take it with a grain (or five) of salt.

I wonder what the average is for the United States...

14 is just an average - probably most of the 90% who swear every day do it just once or twice a day, and the few who swear every 10 minutes help get such a high average. The article should rather give a median value...

Oh come on ... Im British and I dont like to swear. We all do it , but some do it in moderation. Or swearing comes out in anger.
