Hitler's mom: 'I want my kids back'

Image

– Adolf Hitler's mom wants her son back home. The Jersey mother who saddled her three kids with Nazi-friendly names lost them to social services because of a neighbor's false claims of abuse, she tells the Express-Times. We "would never abuse our children," she said. "I want my children back." But that may prove to be complicated since police found the kids' grandma drunk in the car as the family headed to a hearing, reports MSNBC.

Cops who pulled the family over last week called dad Heath Campbell "that Nazi guy" and quizzed him about his swastika tattoo, his wife complained. They were ticketed for failing to make necessary repairs to their car. The parents have argued that they have the right to name their kids whatever they choose, and opted for the strange monikers to honor the Third Reich. "They're just names," said Heath Campbell.

    • let's remember that the kids weren't taken away because of the names. they were taken away because of accusations that the kids were abused. accusations that none of us know about since none of us are around those kids.

and even though those are totally nazi names from parents with nazi tattoos; the parents do claim that they don't raise they're children like that. there were even children of other ethnic groups coming to the party. and they (to me) seem like they couldn't have been all that bad of parents if they're throwing a racially mixed birthday party with a personalized cake

the kids should only be taken away because of abuse. what names are ok? my name was kind of ghetto and doesn't look good on a job application; should my parents be punished for abuse?

    • They are right, they've all the liberty to put whatever name they want to their kids. Even, if they're nazi government can't do anything, except if they commit some crime.

    • I don't think parents should have the right to make such a decision that could be drastically change their lives, this is wrong. . .

    • I'm on the fence with this:

On one hand, those kids will go through a lot of shit because their parents were assholes enough to name one kid "Adolf Hitler" and give another the middle name "Aryan Nation."

The government may be overstepping its powers a bit and dictating right and wrong. We should put the kids first - what kind of middle name is "Aryan Nation"?

A lot of people think it's somehow the parent's right to indoctrinate their children, but then again, the father stated that he wasn't - he supposedly even invited racially mixed children.

      It's a complicated issue.

    • Parents like this drive me crazy! Give your children ordinary names and if they want to change them when they get older, they can. You shouldn't name your kids after anything political, let them decide for themselves what they want to believe when they are old enough.

Can you imagine the teasing these kids will go through growing up?

    • The parents aren't doing anything wrong! It's not illegal to name your kid Adolf Hitler, not that I am saying it is a good idea. The reports that the parents were abusing the children have been proven false and the swastika tatoo is actually a tatoo of a BACKWARDS swastika, which is representative of good luck and fortune.

i like the video you posted, Stalin and Mussolini were worse than Hitler, its just that as Americans we have ties to Hitler (WW2) there for WE etch those pages of history into stone, but the other part of your video, that kinda gets me about Jew's, after a while they knew what was happening, they knew what was going on, they knew, they knew what was going on, it's kind of sickening and maddening to think of, but they did, and the diffracts between me (an American) and a Jew (as a collective groups of people) is that I would rather die trying to escape the known doom, than allow for it to happen. Fundamentals are instilled to us from our parents, surroundings and upbringings. Just a ranted thought i had

    • This is really frightening to me - how can people who normally post such intelligent and though provoking posts to this site actually be siding with the State over the parents' choice of names?? Giving your child a name is not illegal, people! Certainly not worth having your children taken!!

My daughter's name is Loki. In some of her father's circles, she's not welcome because of that. To some, her name is equvalent to Satan. Should I lose my parental rights because of that??

What if I, as a fundamentalist Christian, said that children raised in a Muslim household were all being ideologically abused because they weren't taught about the Christian God, and thus demanded that all children in Muslim houses be taken by the State for their own good? It's wrong to take kids from their parents unless the parents are causing irreparable harm, folks! Please, understand that! If the only thing these parents are guilty of is bad judgement in providing names to these children, then there is no reason for the State to have those kids. PERIOD. My kids are well aware of the fact that I believe George Bush to be a stuttering moron - that could be construed to be hateful thoughts. Should I lose my kids? Come on, people, think for yourselves...

I'm not trying to be insulting, but you named your daughter Loki? After the male Norse god who is known for his trickery, lying, cheating and murdering and was imprisoned in the pits of the Earth to be tortured by a snake who drips venom into his eyes while he's tied to a rock with his own son's entrails only to be freed at Ragnarok?

Hope she doesn't find that out.

Given a name is not illegal, but guess what? They named those kids for specific reasons, namely their ideals- and their ideals BREED HATE & DISCRIMINATION, which is not illegal, but WRONG. In the end hate creates more hate AND violence in some form or another. So if we don't question their motives now, I am sure someone who will be the victim of their prejudices will be the unfortunate one to pay in the future.

Actually Loki is at best a hermaphrodite, seeing as how he was both a father and a mother.
Loki is the same god who was instrumental in the forging of Mjolnir, was inspiration for the creation of fishing nets, gave birth to Odin's horse Sleipnir, and much more. He was actually depicted as a trickster and a necessary embodiment of the grey areas of morality - something that Snorri and the other Christians of the 13th century simply couldn't abide. There had to be a dichotomy, and someone had to be the patsy, a mask for the devil. The earlier folklore did not paint him as such a wholly malevolent character, and his personality was meant to show the bad that can come of good as well as the good that can come out of bad.
She loves her name, and we've talked at length about the origin of her name. She says she's tricky too, and she understands that Loki may have done some bad things but he did some really good things too. For a god, he sure was pretty human ^_^

Wow, you really know your stuff! I was just afraid that you named her that out of ignorance (that would not be a good thing) and if she understands and appreciates it then it's good enough for me. I myself plan to name my kids using non-Christian names; Diana, Minerva, or Athena for a girl, and Lysander or Arion for a boy.

      ^_^

    • I hope that neighbor gets slapped with charges for creating a false report. I don't care what their names are, having those children taken because of false allegations of abuse is horrible and unacceptable.

Some would try and make the claim that the environment of hate is abuse in itself but i find that argument too speculative given these stories as evidence. Names are names--the children can hate their parents for the torture it has caused the family when they're older and can find out who they're named after...

    • This reminds of the South Park Season 4 Episode 7 "Chef Goes Nanners". Frickin' people were sitting on the goddamn fence because they were upset that the KKK was protesting in their town, but they didn't want to infringe their rights of free speech. Discrimination and hate is wrong. PERIOD. It only gets worse as time goes on.

    • you have to wonder how many parents are raising there little kids to be nazis like themselves without choosing the childs name to immortalize there hero hitler and asking the local bakery to make them a cake?

    • Just because the parents may practice "hate", it still doesn't give the state the right to take children away. Their names can be changed but yet again you should be able to tell your children what ever you want. If they get involved with this then they could start saying that you are required to teach your child a religion or you aren't allowed to teach a religion to them. I understand their Names may be "offensive" but let's all be adults and say that just by a child having a bizarre name it doesn't hurt us. I've heard from some people that others may feel so offended by the names that they would hurt the children, so that's why they must change the names. Wow you hurt a defenseless child because you think someone "hurts" your feelings by having a name. This case is similar to the Cuffley v. Mickes. Can we go so far as to deny freedom of speech just because we may find things offensive? What is to stop people from finding other things offensive, and use it to take children away and to prosecute them. In the end, I believe that the government has tried to make an example of these people. Morally I think that the parents are wrong but legally they are right and I cannot see the system providing better care than the family they have.

    • Umm... breeding your kids to hate means you get to lose them. I would call that an abusive environment for sure. Maybe not physical but to saddle your children that much hatred is mental abuse.

Not all religions and people practicing religion breed hate and violence. There are those who are tolerant and kind, unfortunately not a great deal compared their opposites. I can't say the same about Nazis or people following the Aryanian superiority complex. I'm pretty sure they are ALL about hate, discrimination, and violence.

    • This is all very funny, except for the fact that there are children involved. Indoctrinating a child into a culture of hate is unforgivable. We value our right to free speech and these "parents" have used that right to express their feelings. Maybe the children will use their rights one day to tell these people that they are idiots.
