Al-Qaeda cell 'was developing biological weapons'?

An al-Qaeda cell killed by the Black Death may have been developing biological weapons when it was infected, it has been reported. It was initially believed that they could have caught the disease through fleas on rats attracted by poor living conditions in their forest hideout.

It was reported last year that up to 100 potential terrorists had attempted to become postgraduate students in Britain in an attempt to use laboratories.

    • my comment has been deleted?? its propaganda, part of the plan make different religions/races afraid of each other, because when people realise that we are all one, then our systematic government of corporate slavery becomes redundant. and ALOT of people loose money and power.     • It is a given that terrorist groups will develop any sort of weapons that they have the technology to develop. The only thing that stops them is lack of ability, not desire. Al-Qaeda might not have been developing biological weapons this time, but it would if it could.

    • As much as this is news it shouldnt be surprising. These people plan everyday on ways to get at us. Bad news is our means of cutting them off at their camps is coming to a close.

    • It may very well be true, but it is it odd that all the references to Igor Khrupinov (except the one connecting him to the US Naval War College) are worldwide in all languages in three days saying exactly the same thing in exactly the same text. I'd like to hear more about this. I wasn't aware of Algerian cave-dwelling Al Queda trainees doing biological warfare. However, the U.S. does develop such weapons and has large stock piles of them in the U.S. As I recall, we haven't signed the treaty banning their use either, as most other countries have. Not saying that Al Queda might not do this if capable, but the coverage and the source of this opinion do make an odd pattern.

      last time i checked the plague didn't give a shit whether you were on the naughty or nice list. the idea of an airborne plague flying around, anywhere on earth-should put some fear in us all. we better hope they get it quarantined, and we better move faster to take out al qaeda and the rest of the radical islamists before they strike with a WMD. it's really only a question of capability, and if they ever get it- they will use it!

      let us avoid this doom!

      hold on a sec. while judaism is as flawed a dogma as the others, jews were not responsible for the crusades, inquisition, witch-hunts, holocaust, pogroms, etc.

      historically, the overwhelming majority of killing in the name of "god" has been perpetrated by christains and muslims, and largely to members of their own faiths.

      I don't think that Christianity is bullshit. Until I see the day of Christians slaughtering innocent civilians in the name of jihad I'll stick to that stance as well. Sure there is a radical nut every once in a blue moon but that can be said of ALL people from all walks of life regardless of their views/ religion. By and large Christians are extremely charitable and the vast majority of churches participate in lots of humanitarian activities. Almost any church (regardless of denomination) you walk into is plastered with missions they particpate in and most are to extremely underpriviledged areas and do far more than just attempting to "convert" non believers. The vast majority of people participating in these programs may believe in spreading the word of Christianity but there is no obligation for anyone to convert to receive their help. Look around and see if you see that type of "no pressure" approach from Islam... Way to paint with a broad brush though, that'll get ya far.

      The British intelligence agency knew exactly when and where the attacks were supposed to happen before they did. They were even dumb enough to send their staff to all those locations at the perfect timing for "drills". Yeah not suspicious at all.
