This is a great approach and a great site as well as a it is a great opportunity to see how honest he is in at least trying to tell the truth and accompolish what he intended and indeed said he would. I will also bookmark this site. So far Mr. O is doing a good job. Boy is it nice not to have a bunch of liars and decieves in the Blackhouse starting with George Bush. We can call the place the Whitehouse once again.

Obama is a honest man, who is doing the best he can for his people while dealing with the politics of old. He has to do a very careful dance between doing what's right, and pleasing the filthy Republicans. Obama cant do everything he wants to do without the backing of the GOP (unfortunately), and in order to get their backing, he must make some concessions (which totally sucks but thats how old politics works). I just hope that Obama will not have to face too many obstacles created by tired old white men. And when I say tired, I dont mean sleepy, I mean like people are tired of them and their antics.

Ask President Obama to deliver urgent humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The United States has the capacity to send immediate help to the region with the U.S. Naval ships USNS Mercy and USNS Comfort.

ok, so... well now i'm just going to have to copy what someone else has already said... two examples, to add to your suggestion:
AIDS epidemic in Africa
world hungershould we ask him to take care of these things as well? surely as Americans we have that capacity, too, right? i wonder how humanly possible it is to divide oneself and solve all of the world's issues. apparently you have that faith in him to make a statement like that. or wait,... maybe that responsibility... doesn't... fall soley... on the shoulders of the President of the U.S...
i dunno. what do you think?

What the Hell is wrong with everyone today? Lets not forget Obama is a President. All Presidents have mistakes, history has shown us this. There hasn't been a president prefect president run. Maybe Obama might have a prefect run, chance of that happening is ZERO or 50/50.

I don't think it matters to you guys who gets elected President. You would be intent on tearing him down and questioning his motivations as soon as he gets into office. Some people just refuse to allow a positive breath to be taken in between your cynicism and your lack of perspective.

Saying you are banning gifts doesn't mean they won't still be given. There were some real big shindigs being put on by major corporations for his inauguration. And Harry Reid was interviewed saying that lobbyists are just trying to make a living because they have families too. Please. Until he signs a climate change bill that at least limits CO2 emissions 90% by 2020, or a bill that cuts the defense budget in half so we can use it to end poverty in this country, or a comprehensive affordable healthcare initiative, or a bill that repeals the Patriot Act, or labels our foods for GMOS, or REALLY ends the war in Iraq AND Afghanistan, this is just filler. And to be fair, I agree that Guantanamo should be closed, but again, that isn't change, that is just bringing us back to what was before Bush.

He didn't attend any of those shindigs. He had 170 million dollars worth of parties from funds given from normal people, like the nearly two million who gathered on the mall to share in that moment.

Agreed. I was one of those supporters. And to be fair, he's only been in office for two days. I went to an inaugural party on the 20th, and many local folks showed up ready for change: there was a woman there who was specially chosen for a maternal health unit to guide health policy in the coming years as our infant mortality rate is lower than Cuba's. He is an experienced community organizer, and is reaching out to those people on the ground who can help shape future policy.

I didn't state that 'he' received anything. I stated there were a lot of big shindigs going on for his inauguration being used to lobby because things really will not change just because he said so. Harry Reid obviously seems to think lobbyists should be allowed to keep doing business as usual. Are people really that naive to think this still won't continue in some form? Come on already. This is politics. Let's not lose our grip on reality in our zeal to deify Obama.

while you make an excellent point, and the Obameter and the whole idea of tracking him so closely so early into this presidency is a little laughable, i don't remember Obama promising to fix world hunger or the AIDS epidemic in Africa... seems a little irrelevant.
btw, what are you doing about those issues? (serious question, not being facetious - it just seems that someone so passionate about those issues would be involved, and maybe that's why it's relevant that Obama isn't...?)
looking forward to your response! :)
