British fight climate change with fish and chips

The British are using bio-diesel, which is not only better for the environment, but costs 10% less as well.
-----------------------------

NUNEATON, England — As he has done frequently over the last 18 months, Andy Roost drove his blue diesel Peugeot 205 onto a farm, where signs pointed one way for “eggs” and another for “oil.”

He unscrewed the gas cap and chatted nonchalantly as Colin Friedlos, the proprietor, poured three large jugs of used cooking oil — tinted green to indicate environmental benefit — into the Peugeot’s gas tank.

Mr. Friedlos operates one of hundreds of small plants in Britain that are processing, and often selling to private motorists, used cooking oil, which can be poured directly into unmodified diesel cars, from Fords to Mercedes.

Last year, when the price of crude oil topped $147 a barrel, a number of large companies in Europe and the United States were spurred to set up plants to collect and refine used cooking oil into biodiesel.

The global recession and the steep drop in oil prices have now killed many of those large refining ventures. But smaller, simpler ones like Mr. Friedlos’s are moving in to fill the void with their direct-to-tank product, having been deluged by offers of free oil from restaurants.

Do you use Bio-Diesel?

Also that guys sign is totally legit...... He must be talking to the MORAN family.

Moran (Irish: Ó Móráin) is a modern Irish surname and derived from member ship of a medieval dynastic sept. The name means a descendent of Mórán, translated as Big One. Morans were a respected sept of the Uí Fiachrach dynasty in the western counties of Mayo and Sligo. In Ireland, where the name descended from the Gaelic, it is generally pronounced (phonetically) "more-in", an anglicized approximate of the Irish pronunciation. Elsewhere, pronunciation follows the French surname, Mo rant, anglicized to (phonetically) "more-anne".[1]

A magical zombie, eh? That would be pretty sweet, but since it's not true and I wouldn't worship It guess we're out of luck :(

The scientists of the world are at anything, but a global consensus. Many climatologists and those who study the Sun agree that over the past 30 years the solar output of our sun has risen drastically.

And, just as a heads up, you spelled moran when I'm sure you wanted to spell moron or perhaps some type of pie (mmmmm, tasty).

Don't get me wrong, using bio-diesel as an alternative fuel source would be better and much more cost effective. I completely agree that we should look for alternative sources of energy, for the sake of the economy and not the planet. The only way I would ever buy a hybrid car is to save some money on gas.

FOX, I hate those guys!!! Just because I'm a Christian should not effect the fact that The Sun creates global warming.

Magical Vampire? Magical Zombie? What are you talking about, I have never worshiped a mythical undead creature? Not to say that meeting one wouldn't be an interesting experience.

Mass Media in general is stupid and that includes FOX, CNN, MSNBC and many more retarded news companies.

I was also completely serious when i said that the worlds leading scientists are still fighting over what actually causes global warming. I still stand on the pretence that it would be illogical to discount the HEAT SOURCE as the result of a rise in terrestrial heat levels. As humans, we do account for a small amount of climate shift, but it's not enough to make us the sole perpertraitors of melting glaciers and a planet thats getting hotter. There is something else that's driving this shift in the worlds climate and I just happen to believe that is the SUN.

Why bring religion into this scientific conversation? They are two entirely different things and trust me I had to learn that the hard way.

You can't seriously think that it would be entirely impossible for our own SUN to be heating up the planet? My friend, if you do then I pity you for your benevolent ignorance and inability to think beyond what the media or your authority figures tell you.

You are a slave to the box you continue to think INSIDE of. You love your servitude to your government.

Please find someone else to convince. You will not move me for I am illustriously confident that global warming (climate change) is a lie.

There are always other possibilities and if one fails to see them then his/her life will be one of enslavement and servitude. I wish you the best. May you live in blissful ignorance to the world beyond the words of man.

      A hypocrite? Why am i a hypocrite?

It is true that humanity accounts for some of this problem, but we are not the main cause of it.

You still refuse to answer my question as to why it would be so wrong to say that our Sun is the main contributer to a rise in the earth's heat levels.

You seem so hell bent on protecting those who tell you what to to think. Once again you show your love for your servitude to any authority figure or anyone who calls themselves a scientist. Besides, Many climatologists believe that humans are not the singular cause of global warming.

Sarah Palin? She is corrupt politician just as so many others are. You and I can agree that she is stupid, but my views do not even vaguely coincide with hers.

Garden of Eden? Adam and Eve? You also continually bring religion into an argument that's about science? I don't know why you feel the need to harass somebody because they don't believe as you do. You pair stupidity with the ability to be independent. You may continue you rant, but your actions will speak louder than your words. Continue your enslavement.
