Maddow: Obama's Iraq plan 'more like a Bush plan'

maasanova
Finally, someone on the left who actually has the balls to come out and say what the libertarian/independent/true conservatives have been saying all along! Props to Rachel Maddow!

"I do think they expect ... a little bit of heat from the left on this, from the anti-war majority in this country," Maddow explained, "and I expect that the timing of this announcement will not be enough to dampen that criticism. ... It looks very much more like a Bush plan than it did like a Barack-Obama-the-campaigner plan."

We get the crap from news on TV and the fact that we gave Jew-ville the nukes in the first place. By the way you forgot the words (lacking in) in front of your name.

    • The same country that Bush had to take orders from is in control of Obama too. No president wants to go down in history as the one who went against Israel. Israel has stated more than once if we don't go after there enemies that they will use nuclear weapons on them. Nuclear blackmail rules.

    • I think it's even more funny that followers of neoconservative policies (torture, spying war of aggression ect) just love Obama and the people who are handling him.

    • it's so funny, everybody is so wrapped up in left vs. right, Obamas policies vs. Bush's, Democrats vs. Republicans. There's only one agenda and one plan.

    • Obama sees that Bush was right and Iraq was a just cause.
I am glad he has the courage to act contrary to his leftist moonbat base

    • Too bad nobody was watching this. The sooner that people accept that in many important ways the new President will do what the previous Presidents have done regardless of power.

God forbid that Obama think he is the one who can deliver peace to the Middle East. Each President, regardless of party, comes to believe at some point that he can broker a lasting peace. With that belief in his own power comes billions in assistance. Read history. This happens regardless of which party is in power.

    • Why would President Obama want the United States of America to turn our backs on our ally and fellow democracy? Iraq is our friend and we have an obligation to help Iraq. The real Iraq war would begin if we, the USA, just packed up and left. As far as the two people in this video complaining - They should know more than anyone else, what a candidate says is much different than what an elected official does. In other words "Meet the new Boss, same as the old Boss."

    • Mr. Obama, as eloquent as it was made me feel a little in "dejavu" as President Reagan and President (The father) Bush also spoke about the same issues. Heath Care, Education and National Security. It is too early to see the results but about the war she it is right on the ball.
