The Continental Congress - Now Is The Time!

The withdrawal of support by the People from our rogue Government until Grievances are Redressed.

Let’s face the barren facts. This is an historic undertaking of the utmost importance. Our Republic has suffered grave injuries and our Constitution hangs by mere threads. The Government not only violates our fundamental Laws and refuses to be held accountable in any manner. Constitutional Justice evades us in the Courts and our economy has been dealt a near deathblow as the result of decades of rule by a privately-owned banking cartel and reliance upon a debt-based fiat currency.

    • In this interview, conducted by Deep Journal before the 4 November elections, Webster Tarpley expounds on the topic of his recently published book "Obama, The Postmodern Coup,The Making of a Manchurian Candidate". Does Obama represent a real change or is it the same old imperialism with cosmetic surgery?

Tarpley argues that there is more to Obama than his charismatic appearance. Exit the "neo-cons", the real power behind the throne is now Zbigniew Brzezinski whose policies, he claims, are far more dangerous and insane. There will be an immediate shift in the hit-list of countries, starting with Pakistan, widely expanding the theatre of war operations in the pursuit of a global geostrategic agenda where Russia and China are the ultimate targets. Tarpley foresees a catastrophic outcome for the entire world should Brzezinskis plans be allowed to go through. Whether his views are correct for now is a matter of opinion and remains to be seen, but for the public debate it is relevant to take note of his facts and arguments. It would nevertheless appear that, so far, his analysis is being borne out by the recent developments in South West Asia.

    • For those complaining about states rights being violated, you should read this.(I understand this isn't about states rights but I think It's prudent to mention a certain article of the constitution)

The constitution supports Congress's rights to pass sweeping laws.

"The Congress shall have Power - To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."-Article 1 of the United States Constitution, section 8, clause 18:

Also, saying that our Constitution is in tatters is misleading. Sure, the Bush Admin did some damage, in fact a lot of damage but it's being undone.

Well, In my case you're right.

I unfortunately tried to defend Bush for far too long. It wasn't until last year, that I really started paying attention, mostly from reading A Foreign Policy of Peace, and The Revolution: A Manifesto, by Ron Paul, and reading Judge Napolitano's book, A Nation of Sheep, and then later Naomi Wolf's book, The End of America.

Some of you may know that Naomi Wolf is a Liberal. The sad fact is that I would not have listened to her or read her book if I had not first listened to Ron Paul and Napolitano or even Bob Barr's warning that Bush had committed more impeachable acts than Clinton.

Your angry response is just how I would have reacted to most of the liberal warnings. I saw it as a knee jerk reaction to Bush and not worthy of my time to listen. I had to first listen to some conservatives that spoke "my language" if you will.

As I learned more, I learned that there were were quite a few people besides Ron Paul and Napolitano, who had been far more consistent than Bob Barr, in defending civil liberties, such as Justin Raimondo, Lew Rockwell, and even Bob Schultz. They have been fighting this fight throughout the Bush years.

While liberals and conservatives were busy yelling at each other, these people saw the truth of both sides and the flaws of both sides. But the media for the most part ignored them, because it's more entertaining to see a liberal and conservative yell at each other then have a real conversation.

In the link below, Naomi Wolf tells how on Fox they specifically told her that she didn't have to try and like whoever she was going to speak with. In other words, they wanted a confrontation.

I am guilty of your charge of looking the other way, but the libertarians are not.

Conservatives and Liberals have a tendency of thinking that when their guy is in charge any criticism of the government is suspect.

I respectfully ask that you listen to this interview of Naomi Wolf and Lew Rockwell:

      http://www.lewrockwell.com/podcast/?p=episode&name=2008-10-30_058_americas_s...

It is a real conversation of two people listening and learning from each other.

Rockwell, as been consistent in criticizing the Bush administration as has, Walter Block, Joseph Salerno, Tom Woods, or Thomas DiLorenzo.

Paul Craig Roberts who worked in the Reagan administration is a conservative who has been very critical of Bush. So critical that he voted for Obama, because, as he said, Bush must be completely repudiated.

I hope your distaste for the Bush administration is caused by your love of civil liberties and personal freedom, and that you could see the threat to these by the Bush administration.

Please understand that for many conservatives, they see liberals as threat to their economic freedom . When they hear liberals speak they too quickly associate it with socialism or communism and see that as a threat to liberty. Just as when liberals hear conservatives speak, they too quickly hear the rhetoric of fascism and see that as a threat to their freedom.

If we properly followed the Constitution and the rule of law, the different groups would not feel so threatened by each other. But because we have descended into a democracy, each group must win at the expense of the other in order to protect themselves.

This group think or collectivism is dangerous in whatever form it takes, be that socialism or fascism. And I really believe that by keeping the populous divided, the power elites have been consolidating their power over us.

There are those calling for succession and there are those calling for state sovereignty. The state sovereignty movement is calling for a . . . . an insistence or recognition of the 10th Amendment.

Bob Schulz's Continental Congress is worried about the Federal Government's infringement on state's rights and individual rights. If you go back to the video, there a far were more attacks on the actions of the Bush administration than Obama. He's been working on these problems for years.

But, there are other people who are becoming more and more frustrated and calling for outright succession.

Six months ago, I heard predictions of revolt or civil war. I thought that was crazy. I'm afraid that is no longer an unimaginable possibility.

    • Why don't you listen and read what we're actually saying. Don't put us in the conservative Republican box. We're for Freedom, so how could we possibly be for slavery?

We support personal and economic liberty. They go together.

The establishment has split the two, so that the two parties fight for only one aspect of liberty. Therefore, if you want personal liberty, you have to be against economic liberty (the liberal Democrats), or if you want economic liberty, you have to be against personal liberty (the conservative Republicans).

In this way the establishment continues to gain more power, and the people loose their freedom no matter who wins the election.

So what if the founders (Jefferson) wanted an agricultural country. Does that mean we have to be urban slaves to the State?

Does it mean that we cannot have a Constitutional Republic or must we face an Orwellian "Brave New World," because we live in the 21st Century?

      Is Freedom really passé?

Is questioning the government's theft of our labor really greed? What right does the government have to do this?

Isn't this really forced labor? Isn't forced labor slavery?

Do you have that right to take my money?

How can you give the government that right when you don't have that right?

The income tax is immoral, but the educational system (government propaganda system) has trained us not to question this.

Wake up and fight for freedom!

Stop fighting the other as if you live in a democracy.

This is the way they want it.

    • HAHAHAHAHAHA! What a bunch of BS. Yes, let's turn the clock back 300+ years to a better time when women couldn't vote, blacks were still enslaved and life was so much better!

Greed. That's what this video is about.

    • what are you talking about and where do all you kids come from?

the gov has been crazy since the civil war when it forced states to accept its power over them.

the founding fathers thought america should be populated by a bunch of independent yeoman farmers, separationist etc. that's neither realistic nor feasible anymore.

know how I recognize this is bullshit? the obama nonsense. not only are you calling into question obama, but the entire state of hawaii, which did in fact produce a birth certificate.

the rest of the video seems to me to represent greed. oh noes! stop taking our money. damn, take a look back in history and see what it was like in america before fed taxes gave everyone access to roads, jobs, food, care and security.

conspiracy kooks like you all do as much harm as the fundies because you scare away moderates. yes our constitution is in shambles but bullshitting won't change nothin. bush got in only because liberals didn't go out and make themselves heard, because conservatives, for at least 5 years, had their shit together more than us. these tactics further divide those who stand against fascism...though I don't really know what exactly you represent. insanity?

      to conclude....is slavery cool again?

I am sorry to burst your bubble but the political system in this country has become a SHAM!

The presidential debates -- the single most important electoral events in the process of selecting a president -- should provide voters with an opportunity to see the popular candidates discussing important issues in an unscripted manner. Unfortunately, the presidential debates fail to do so, because the major party candidates secretly control them.

Presidential debates were run by the civic-minded and non-partisan League of Women Voters until 1988, when the national Republican and Democratic parties seized control of the debates by establishing the corporate-sponsored Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). Posing as a nonpartisan institution, the CPD has deceptively run the debates in the interest of the national Republican and Democratic parties, not the American people.

Since 1988, negotiators for the Republican and Democratic nominees have secretly drafted debate contracts that dictate precisely how the presidential debates will be structured. The CPD, which is co-chaired by the former heads of the Republican and Democratic parties, has obediently implemented those contracts.

Such deceptive major party control has harmed our democracy. Candidates that voters want to see are often excluded, and the debates have been turned into a series of glorified bipartisan news conferences, in which the candidates exchange memorized soundbites. Walter Cronkite called CPD-sponsored presidential debates an "unconscionable fraud."

The Republican and Democratic debate negotiators have significant ties to the CPD. For example, Vernon Jordan was a CPD director before becoming Bill Clinton's debate negotiator in 1996 and Kerry's debate negotiator in 2004. David Norcross was the vice-chairman of the CPD before becoming Bob Dole's debate negotiator in 1996.

    • A government is the most dangerous threat to man's rights: it holds a legal monopoly on the use of physical force against legally disarmed victims.

We need to move fast with this!
