You don't have to repeat yourself. Luck is just another term for describing a coincidence. There is no superstitious luck I agree, but luck is anything that happens by chance.
It would be boring if we were to say; "He got saved by the rarest chances on the slimmest odds."

To me, the idea of pure luck, seems somewhat superstitious.

What the hell is wrong with this guy and the truck driver? Even if the RR lights weren't working, you're supposed to at least glance down the track to make sure there isn't a giant train coming at you!

Is this being in the right place at the right time or just dumb luck? Either way, he’s one lucky guy with some incredible video as a souvenir. But he should develop a greater sense of awareness if he plans on staying alive.
