However, personally I really hope something drastic happens because human beings are like walking zombies and something needs to happen to wake them the hell up.

As it stands right now only a handful of people relative to the entire population of the planet are actually awake to the reality of our collective circumstance. The events suggested in these videos and all the ancient myths, legends, prophecies etc., when they come to bear upon humanity, will not be the cause of them awakening, that has to take place prior to these eventualities as by the time they become a reality waking up will not bring change just the realization that the Prophets were right and "oh shit". Those who don't awaken and take appropriate action before these events will only be fuel for the fire both figuratively and literally.

I watched three episodes. I remember the original news reports coming out and then disappearing back in the 90's but these videos are something different. Even though it talks about the science behind the the possibility, it is really more about a religious agenda. I haven't watched the last two because it started to make me suspicious about the motivations of the producer.

If you didn't finish the series then you completely missed the point of them. Exactly what gave you reason to believe it was specifically religious in any way? Because it referenced some ancient texts? You really can't make an informed assessment of something you haven't been fully informed of. You should follow it through to the end before passing your judgment.

The other acounts I have watched say it is simply the Sun that will be aligned with the earth and the center of the Milky Way Galaxy. This sounds pretty "OUT THERE"

Here is what my friend from NASA sent me in response:
"That was an interesting set of videos. I tend to think that if a Planet X was heading our way, many other infra-telescopes would have noticed it by now, especially just 2 years out. I just find it hard to believe that it would be covered up globally.
Now, is it possible? Sure. There are funky binary star systems scattered throughout the universe. We've cataloged many of them, so who is to say that we aren't one of them.
Also, this is a unique way of looking at the whole Saturnian System and Ancient Myhos argument as proposed by the theology side of the Electric Universe, but instead of Saturn being the focus of the argument, maybe this Brown Dwarf star is the culprit. Here's a link for that..."That was an interesting set of videos. To "dumbfound877";
This entire series gives no reason to fear anything at all why would you get fear from it? The only "bullshit" here is your implication that this video series is fear mongering.
"Creation is beautiful and harmonic."
Of course creation is beautiful and harmonic and meanwhile there is violence, carnage, destruction, death and decomposition in the same places where there is life, love, rebirth and renewal. What is your point? There is beauty and destruction within nature. At this moment there are galaxies smashing into each other, destroying millions of solar systems. So what's your point?
Was hurricane Katrina, the Tsunami or the earthquake in China beautiful and harmonic? Ask those who lived through them. Again, what's the point of your statement?
You have nothing to fear from a doomsday which is only the enforcement of natural law so why live in denial of it? Rather than telling people there's nothing to prepare for you'd be far more helpful if you would lend your "harmonizing" skills to helping those less fortunate or informed prepare for such eventualities.

oh boy, been here, done this. it's old news, propaganda at that. listen, anything that induces fear is bullshit.
Creation is beautiful and harmonic.
there will be trials in the times ahead, but i assure you
that if you seek to better the situation of the entire planet,
there will be no doomsday.
again, the old must fall so that the new may rise, but rise we shall- fear is a disease that only discernment and love can cure. - 3 years ago

Metaphorically perhaps.
Hell, the financial crisis and the behavior leading up to it could even be considered pieces in the puzzle.
Interesting. I'll forward this link to my space-obsessed friend at NASA and see what he says.
Jeremiah eh? Ummm...I'm not big on mixing planetary predictions with testimonial from people who thought the Earth was flat...and that the Sun revolved around it etc., but I can see how this can be spun into scaring/forcing the sh*t out of people to stop our world from continuing down the free range clusterf*ck path it's been on as some people are left to their own selfish, short-sighted, and stupid devices.
Things that make you go hmmm...

This is an interesting suggestion wrapped in the clothes of a fact. Velikovsky and his theories arroused much speculation in the eighties about how his postulations were formidable realities.
Every few years there is some new scare, threat, prediction or formula which will prove something. Every twenty or fifty years these prediction fail.
People want answers and they are naturally curious. They are not bad when they ask questions. However, when answers become new questions because they have failed, conclusions should not be made in haste because of impatience and skepticism. - 3 years ago

Abraham99:
Abraham99,
Let use two threads for this ...
Velikovsky? A psychiatrist by trade, a colleague of Freud and Jung, an ardent popularizer of theology as a pre-scientific memory vault.
Along the way he struck a lot of hornet's nests. For the sin of trying to rationalize the apparent irrationality of pre-scientific thought – something that Velikovsky as a psychiatrist was eminently qualified to attempt – old Immanuel was despised and ridiculed. He was treading on other specialist's turf.
It was not his last outrage but one of several.
Velikovsky gave a lecture on Freud's “Moses and Monotheism” – where he claimed that glorious One Godism was a bureaucratic ruse devised simply to allow Akhnaton to wed his mom. Worse, the real “Oedipus” was none other than Amenhotep IV, AKA Akhnaton. Freud, present during the lecture, is reported to have fainted.
http://www.datasync.com/~rsf1/vel/oedipus.htm
Carl Sagan, today regarded as a super-nice, ultra-cautious, virtual scientific Saint, penned a series of defamatory and virulent attacks condemning Velikovski for two "absurd" theories.
http://www.the7thfire.com/education/earth_changes.htm
Here's what the theories looked like.
"Immanuel Velikovsky in his 1950's book Worlds in Collision proposes that many myths and traditions of ancient peoples and cultures are based on actual events: worldwide global catastrophes of a celestial origin, which had a profound effect on the lives, beliefs and writings of early mankind."
"In Apri1, 1940, Velikovsky was first struck by the idea that a great natural catastrophe had taken place at the time of the Israelites' Exodus from Egypt - a time when plagues occurred, the Sea of Passage parted, Mt. Sinai erupted, and the pillar of cloud and fire moved in the sky. Velikovsky wondered: Does any Egyptian record of a similar catastrophe exist? He found the answer in an obscure papyrus stored in Leiden, Holland - the lamentations of an Egyptian sage, Ipuwer. The Ipuwer Papyrus, Velikovsky became convinced, parallels the Book of Exodus, describing the Eastern history, taking this catastrophe - which brought the downfall of the Egyptian Middle Kingdom- as a starting point from which to synchronize the histories of Egypt and Israel. He titled his work Ages in Chaos."
"The cause of the catastrophe terminating the Middle Kingdom remained unexplained. One afternoon in October, 1940, Velikovsky noticed an important fact: the Book of Joshua describes a destructive shower of meteorites occurring before the sun "stood still," in the sky. Could this be a coincidence, or were the ancients recording a cosmic disturbance that must have shaken the entire Earth and might have been related to the upheavals approximately 50 years earlier during the Exodus? A survey of other sources around the world convinced Velikovsky that a global cataclysm had indeed overtaken the Earth, and that Venus played a decisive role in that cataclysm. For 10 years he researched and wrote Ages in Chaos and Worlds in Collision. He had by now taken up permanent residence in the United States."

[continued]
The nerve! What monstrous cheek!
Every True Scientist, meaning in orthodox lock-step with Carl Sagan, knew that the odds of big things in space hitting each other was all but impossible. The idea that the old religions contained an obscured memory of past astronomical events especially reduced to the logic of "We Were Bad so God Did It!" was just preposterous. That continents “moved” encouraged Carl to describe Velikovsky's ideas as "heresy."
Now we are told this -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_moon#Origin_and_geologic_evolution
"Giant Impact hypothesis
The prevailing hypothesis today is that the Earth–Moon system formed as a result of a giant impact. A Mars-sized body (labelled "Theia") is believed to have hit the proto-Earth, blasting sufficient material into orbit around the proto-Earth to form the Moon through accretion.[6] As accretion is the process by which all planetary bodies are believed to have formed, giant impacts are thought to have affected most if not all planets. Computer simulations modelling a giant impact are consistent with measurements of the angular momentum of the Earth–Moon system, as well as the small size of the lunar core.[44] Unresolved questions regarding this theory concern the determination of the relative sizes of the proto-Earth and Theia and of how much material from these two bodies formed the Moon."
Throughout his works Velikovsky cited Alfred Wegener. An obscure nobody dead by 1930 who as it turned out was the spark that led to Plate Tectonics theory, and still more shrill theoretical mudslinging for half a century

How in blazes can I possibly know the validity of these 5 videos of the 2012 planet X, it does seem possible though, and it does make one wonder about the FEMA camps that keep cropping up in the news, and one wonders why they are there, kinda lends itself to a number of possibilities,....ehh what?

Bahai144, I do know that I have much to learn each and every day, and I strive to do so, particularly in areas that I feel of are of interest or feel that impacts my life....you, on the other hand are quite convinced that one should capitulate to your understanding of "truth and enlightenment" or therefore suffer life without merit or understanding.
Please be so kind as to cease defining the measure of my intelligence and understanding in comparison to your own....which I find offensive, just because I choose to comment or reflect a thought here rather than bloviate.

"The time for the destruction of the world and its people," Baha'u'llah's prophetic pen has proclaimed, "hath arrived." "The hour is approaching," He specifically affirms, "when the most great convulsion will have appeared." "The promised day is come, the day when tormenting trials will have surged above your heads, and beneath your feet, saying: `Taste ye what your hands have wrought!'" "Soon shall the blasts of His chastisement beat upon you, and the dust of hell enshroud you." And again: "And when the appointed hour is come, there shall suddenly appear that which shall cause the limbs of mankind to quake." "The day is approaching when its [civilization's] flame will devour the cities, when the Tongue of Grandeur will proclaim: `The Kingdom is God's, the Almighty, the All-Praised!'" "The day will soon come," He, referring to the foolish ones of the earth, has written, "whereon they will cry out for help and receive no answer." "The day is approaching," He moreover has prophesied, "when the wrathful anger of the Almighty will have taken hold of them. He, verily, is the Omnipotent, the All-Subduing, the Most Powerful. He shall cleanse the earth from the defilement of their corruption, and shall give it for an heritage unto such of His servants as are nigh unto Him."
