Sirens Echo Music and 206 Vintage, in conjunction with B-Girl Media, are proud to announce the release of Toni Hill’s anticipated solo album “Only Love”. Miss Hill will debut her release, on March 13th, 2009, in Seattle at Chop Suey, located at 1325 E Madison at 8pm. And in Portland, on March 15th, 2009, at the 720 Club located at 720 SE Hawthorne at 8pm. A work three years in the making, manifested through loss of family, heartbreak and sweet new romance, "Only Love" is a delicious collection of soulful originals that tell an assortment of stories from the heart. Toni explains, "I wanted this album to be about love—like the old school music our parents listened to... I wanted it to be about love for friends, love from supporters; and most importantly about love for self, because without that you really can't love anyone else." Toni Hill has been blazing the mic from coast to coast for over a decade. As half of the hip hop female duo, Sirens Echo, and as a member of the crews, Hungry Mob, and Oldominion, she has shared the stage with such notables as Gil Scott-Heron, Saul Williams, KRS One, Black-Eyed Peas, Fishbone, E-40, Zap Mama, Common, the legendary Roots crew and the Coup.
“Only Love” was produced by Amos Miller, a prolific producer and recording artist, who has worked with nearly all of Seattle’s hip-hop and R&B talent, including Choklate, Jake One, Gabriel Teodros, and Geologic from Blue Scholars. Only Love includes some of Seattle’s finest musicians from jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and world music, that include Mark Oi, Anthony Davis, Vitamin D, Aaron Walker-Loud, Royce Shorter Jr., Ethan Lawton, Chris Littlefield, Evan Flores-Barnes and others.
