Telling people a white drug like methamphetamine is the same as pot is a dirty lie, why would the Arkansas legislator do it?

    • Please do not associate this idiot with conservatives. Conservatives take the stance drug laws are a state issue under the 10th amendment. This man is a republican not a conservative.

    • You cant even compare marijuana to cigarettes. The bottom line is the chemical components. There arent chemicals in marijuana like there are in Meth and Cigarettes. I will never understand people that willingly ingets arsenic among PLENTY of other things. People kill me.

    • Mikey if it wasnt meth it would be booze, food, cigs or some other life destroying slow suicide addiction. Every junkie will tell you that in end they will put anything they can get their hands on to get high from coke to anitfreeze. sorry if some people in your life were junkies but that was a choice they made.

    • Hey simple. You should be shot on sight. Your life has never been affected by meth use or you wouldn't say that. Some people have loved ones who are addicted to meth and don't know how to help them. And "IMO" I think cannabis should be illegal. And I smoke 10 times as much as you do. You want a pack of Marlboro Cannabis Joints??? Corporate pot??? I don't.

    • Growl...bullsh*t like this IS THE PROBLEM and where the TRUE DANGER LIES.

      ...lies...pardon the pun.

I turned a portion of my life into a first-hand research project in the good, bad, and ugly of the propaganda involved in the drug war...and what I discovered is the lies and certain 'personality types' are the problem more than the drugs.

Drugs are dangerous...like many things in life...but can be fun...like many things in life. It all depends on the person and the circumstance, but the nature of the beast for different drugs is like night and day.

To put marijuana in the same boat with speed should be criminal...I suppose this is why you shouldn't let people who have no idea what they are talking about or dealing with make the rules.

People are the problem. More specifically, people who lie and cheat are the problem, and people who don't know any better are often the victims as a result.

Deal in the truth and only the truth and design a system that prevents people from hurting each other with the truth not lies.

    • how do people like this become legislators?
so desperate are they to further the vilification of weed they have resorted to casualizing the use of meth? ?? that's insane and shows just how NOT concerned for public health and safety they are on marijuana prohibition

    • It's propoganda like this that makes pot a gateway drug. If the government says pot is just as bad as meth, and kids go and try pot and nothing bad happens. You can see where this story goes...

    • We need to give that idiot a dose of meth and when/if his mind returns to his body, let him try the Pot. How ignorant can people get, esp. our government officials.

    • barbara3d:

      Have you actually tried meth?

I would argue weed actually makes you 'out of your mind' more than meth (for a much shorter time), BUT meth is much more dangerous to one's health and well-being for completely different reasons.

    • President Obama could right the wrongs of Richard Nixon and remove cannabis hemp from the Dangerous Substance List.

Cannabis has real history. The distortion of facts does not change history. Cannabis is not a dangerous substance. If truth can't be used, they should not be able to state lies and disinformation.

Keeping cannabis hemp illegal is not saving lives. That's spin which can't be backed up! Enough is enough! Mr. Hustchinson can not be trusted! Why would we listen to someone who chooses to lie in plain sight!

    • When some kid picks up meth because he has already smoked pot and thinks its 'no big deal' because they're the same thing this dude is to blame.

Last night on House, these people were sick from Cadmium poisoned marijuana. It was such a far fetched story and I'm willing to bet that someone has regurgitated that garbage as fact to someone else propagating that marijuana could be grown in cadmium tainted soil and KILL YOU!!!!! AHHHHHH!

simplecj, please post this as a stand alone post. There is enough information contained in the video, it would be good as a stand alone post. More people should hear this.

    • Why do people let them lie? What would it take for people to show courage and stop these people from lying in plain sight.

The only reason Americans have been so misled for the past 8 years, is due to lack of courage among people with voices. Any time someone lets these people spin disinformation, they are enablers.

Enabling ordinary Americans to be spun false facts should be a crime. Unfortunately, no one is challenged, or held accountable. Hutchinson should feel shame, for purposely misleading ordinary Americans who trust what they are told. It's no wonder people are confused about facts. Lies and distortion are treated as equal to truth. It's an "Assault on Reason".
