The 80-year-old Humboldt Creamery in California is in jeopardy, as are the livelihoods of people like dairy farmer John Vevoda.

Excerpt: "....... the creamery’s longtime chief executive left one day (last month) and never came back, though he passed on word of possible irregularities in the books. Now the 80-year-old creamery is in jeopardy, as are the livelihoods of people like Mr. Vevoda. He joins the ranks of so many others who feel betrayed — by the Bernard Madoffs, the American International Groups and the predatory lenders who have come to define this distrusting time."

    • You are so right. I have drank soy only for years. That calf belongs to his mother. After going out to dinner Saturday at a new Restaurant, I was appalled to see few agree with that.

Stopped taking female hormone , estrogen when I really needed it after hysterectomy because I will be one less person with my hand up in agreement that Mares should be kept pregnant and tethered and peeing out hormones so the Human animal won't have hot flashes. My doctor thought I was nuts when I told him why I never wanted a RX again. Maybe made him think. Most women have no clue what they are taking. I inform anyone/anywhere I have an opportunity. (and this drug has been the # 1 sold drug in the world for decades)
The site underneath is grahic but is more about the slaughter of horses, and skinning them alive. It fills me with sorrow and tears. Once used for whatever purpose/or to ship the meat to other countries...this is their final reward for their sacrifice. If there is a God, or whatever name we call him/her....I am sure that horses were meant to run free, love, have families but not to be subjugated to man as has been every other living thing on this planet.

    • sadly, the dairy industry is one of the last that I will mind losing. milk is straight up not healthy despite all the money they poured into getting you to drink it in elementary school.

well, you could live on water forever... everything has its downside. it's just funny how you're complaining about milk when soda's and energy drinks are 10 times worse. not just because of what's in them, but because of the amount that people drink. i say pick something more meaningful to argue about and you might find an audience.
