Texas Rep. Leo Berman with Alex Jones on States Rights, Constitution, Guns n Cannabis?

With all the legislation that has been passed by the former administration and the proposals and laws being considered by the current administration threaten to further erode the rule of the constitution in the United States of America. Men like Rep. Leo Berman are seeing that a response is needed from the states to reassert their rights and to claim sovereignty.
In the article it talks about many more states passing similar 10th amendment sovereignty laws in their states. Now if you listen carefully to the interview, Rep. Berman, who is a Republican, does mention homosexuality in the interview saying that "people can get arrested for reading the bible where in Exodus it says that homosexuality is a sin." He also states that the new expansion of the Americorps and the creation of other Corps, is "socialism that the State of Texas is going to resist." He states that the bill includes paying for people's security deposit and first month's rent to move into apartments; "literally stealing money from our children and future generations."
Berman even goes as far as to say that he is considering running for Governor of Texas in order to fight this fight. He definitely sounds like he is one of those reactionaries that sounds more like he is creating a political platform through which to advocate for Texas seceding from the Union; with him at the helm.
According to Berman and Jones, using state police is a more cost effective way to patrol the borders than using the military. Perhaps that is a good thing, provided they end the war on cannabis in the United States and end cannabis prohibition. I wonder with all the brew ha ha he does talk about with regards to state sovereignty if he would support a state and their sovereign rights to legalize cannabis?
