FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE / PRURGENT

The Winnendon, Germany school shooting, which left 17 dead including the gunman, appears to be the latest in the chain of psychiatric drug-induced school shootings. A March 15 article in Scotland on Sunday, revealed that the shooter, Tim Kretschmer, "had been suffering from depression, even attending a clinic and receiving medication for the condition."

With casualties from school or teen shootings now totaling 54 dead and 105 wounded, the mental health watchdog Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) says it is time to stop vested interests from spouting their usual propaganda about psychiatric drugs, and instead demand a federal investigation for the sake of public safety. While the psychiatric/pharmaceutical industries have persisted in vehemently denying that antidepressants and other psychiatric drugs cause violence, CCHR is quick to point out that it was similar vested interests that stalled the FDA from issuing black box warnings on suicide for more than 13 years.

    • Suicidal tendencies and murderous ideation are, indeed, associated with common antidepressants.

      "Suicidality and Antidepressant Drugs

Antidepressants increased the risk compared to placebo of suicidal thinking and behavior (suicidality) in children, teens, and young adults. Depression and certain other psychiatric disorders are themselves associated with increases in the risk of suicide. Patients of all ages who are started on antidepressant therapy should be monitored appropriately and observed closely for clinical worsening, suicidality, or unusual changes in behavior. P*****Q is not approved for use in children under 18.."

    • I would be interested to see some hard science behind these accusations. But I'm open to the debate.

Still, what is so fantastic/suspicious about a mentally ill person acting out in an insane manner. Furthermore, to suggest the medications had something to do with the actions of such a person, simply by identifying crazy people were taking the same crazy medications is, well, nuts.

What would you expect crazy people to be taking? Of course they are going to have meds in common with each other. They're nuts and certain nuts are given pretty much the same nut's pills.

Again, I'm open to the debate, but only if we have some real science to fall back on.
