FEMA and DHS preparing for mass graves and martial law near Chicago

An Indiana county municipal official in the vicinity of Chicago reveals the contents of his meetings with FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security. The initial requests seem reasonable enough when FEMA asks the county officials to prepare a Hazard Mitigation Plan to deal with flooding, fires, high winds and tornadoes.

But as the required meetings and calls with FEMA and DHS continue over a two year period their request become more unusual, raising suspicions of county officials

“We want to know every important thing in this county. We want to know where police departments are. Where weapons are stored. Hazardous material. Where can we land a helicopter. Where are the airports. How big a plane can you land at the airport. Where are all the bridges. Where are all the power stations. Where are all the generating stations.Where are all the substations. They literally wanted to know where everything was. I’m sitting there thinking man if there was ever martial law. This kind of information is exactly the kind of stuff they are going to want. We’re just laying it all out for them right there.”

During the legally mandated meetings held with FEMA and DHS different disaster scenarios were reveled to county officials:

In late December 2008 municipal officials were invited to Indianapolis for a briefing on the state of Indiana. There were told if industry were to collapse for example GM going bankrupt resulting in mass unemployment a depression would soon follow and municipalities could expect to loose 40% of their funds.

    • If we have mass births then were going to have mass graves. I don't see what the big deal is? Unless you think they are planning on putting us in them?

    • I don't think it's constructive to try and debate these types of issues. People who believe, will never change their position, and those like slarabee, will never become "believers".

      There's never been (or at least I haven't been witness to) any conversation between these two types of people, that ended with everyone just agreeing to disagree.

      No, it always turns ugly, with name-calling, angry tones and personal attacks.

      My suggestion is for people like slarabee to just pass over these types of reports and read/comment on something else.

      If you don't like comic books, don't go to a comic book convention and start pointing out how absurd some people look to you. (NO, I'm NOT trying to compare people who like comics to people who subscribe to topics such as the topic being presented in this news story.)

      Bottom line, people should be free to post any story they want, and others should be free to comment or not. But, we're all presented with several opportunities to fight everyday, without even looking up from our daily tasks. Life is too short to waste time running around looking for someone to pick a fight with.

      from the sounds of some of your posts on this story, you are the one who seems to be very angry at others. Ay one point suggesting suicide and now saying you will "deride these people every chance I get" who have a viewpoint other than yours. Are you taking your meds? Have you seen a doctor about your delusions? Speaking your mind or offering a differant viewpoint does not make someone dangerous, suggesting that no one offer differant viewpoints than yours is.
      You need to get a grip on reality before you harm someone.

I fear no one. you obviously fear the truth and are not even willing to go to the link and listen to the official from Lake County Indiana doing the radio interview. One reason they are preparing for the graves is that they fear biological problems. I know people who work in political offices in the chicagoland area and they are and have been preparing for biological terrorist type attacks since 2002. They are given a certain amount of money every year to update or purchase more haz-mat equipment from the federal government. your half assed attempts at ridicule bother me not. your name calling only goes to show your mental state of mind and level of maturity.

    • When is this martial law going to happen? There was speculation it was before Obama's presidency, during inauguration, and within a couple weeks of inauguration.

    • I don't know how to feel about this. FEMA wasn't prepared for New Orleans, so now they're preparing in case something happens in Chicago. It feels a little marshal-law big-brotherish. But, in a wierd sort of way, it's comforting to know they're "prepared" if something happens.

    • I usually don't buy into things like this but as we spiral downward, there is no quick fix. There could be anarchy as people lose everything, then they have nothing to lose.

      Just look at other countries, even UK, though peaceful, have been denied to withdraw their money from banks, denied free speech. The whole damn world is in self-destruct mode. Don't think it can't happen Slarabee. I have always believed in "Murphy's Law" and it never fails. "If it CAN happen, it WILL happen".

      Never before has the whole world been so small that we watch each other's every move. Science Fiction might turn reality.
