Obama Agrees to HIGH TIMES Interview

QUESTION #1
On the campaign trail, you called medical marijuana “entirely appropriate” and pledged to keep the DEA from interfering in states with laws protecting patients and providers. In March, Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed this as the official policy of the federal government. Does this mean that your administration will help to overturn the conviction of Charles Lynch, whose sentencing was postponed on March 23 in light of these new policies?

    • A better joke would have been to spoof the President's answers to the questions. Bong sales would have injected a bunch of cash into the economy and we would all live happily ever after.
(Is it OK to say bong on the Interweb? Because if it's not OK to say bong, I won't say bong ever again.)

    • Jimmy Carter had the courage to speak these words 'out loud'!

"Penalties against possession of a drug should not be more damaging to an individual than the use of the drug itself; and where they are, they should be changed. Nowhere is this more clear than in the laws against possession of marihuana in private for personal use... Therefore, I support legislation amending Federal law to eliminate all Federal criminal penalties for the possession of up to one ounce of marihuana." - Jimmy Carter, U.S. President

It was MSM who spun him into someone other than who he was. Jimmy Carter had solar panels installed on the White House.

Ronald Reagan had the audacity to speak these words.
"I now have absolute proof that smoking even one marijuana cigarette is equal in brain damage to being on Bikini Island during an H-bomb blast" - Ronald Reagan

Ronald Regan removed the solar panels from the White House.

Disparaging Jimmy Carter seems like spin to me. Words matter. I trust the words and actions of Jimmy Carter. Ronald Regan and George W.'s words and actions could not be trusted.

If ya wanna throw stones? Here's one back at ya.

I'm starting to think bush's cartel is obamas too. As well as clintons, reagans, nixons, lbj's, (maybe not kennedy's), well for a long time anyway. Some old people die, new ones take their place, but its still about keeping power.

    • Jeannie we all appreciate what you bring to Current for the cause, and if I am not mistaken, the fact that you opened Jack's eyes to hemp and it's wonderful gifts. You two mean so much to the medical, social and environmental activists! Get well soon Jack! Hang in there Jeannie!

    • Sorry for spoiling the joke. This is really Jack's wife, Jeannie. Jack's in the hospital with a broken rib and I'm stressed out. I was happy to see this at first because I believed it, but it sucked to find out it was a joke. I should just stay off the internet today.

Hi Jeannie, welcome to current. Sad to hear Jack is in the hospital. Can’t blame ya for being stressed out. I was happy at first too. Thanks for spoiling the joke. I hate feeling foolish. I forgot it was April Fools.

Tell Jack, Conniepae sends him her best. I will miss him. I’m sure you have opinions also. Come on back anytime. JeannieHerer would be a good addition to current.

    • I would ask him if he has researched cannabis hemp and it's many uses?

Does he agree with Ronald Reagan that it's okay to lie about cannabis (marijuana)?

President Reagan was allowed to speak these words and no one around him told him, he was lying. He was not held accountable for a lie! He was not shamed for misleading with the help of a lie!

A LIE IN PLAIN SIGHT-- and no one spoke up?
"I now have absolute proof that smoking even one marijuana cigarette is equal in brain damage to being on Bikini Island during an H-bomb blast" - Ronald Reagan

Does he think the war on drugs should be based on facts? Would he bother to correct a lie, if it were stated in his presence? Or would he just move along?

Brain damage? What an ignorant statement to the "just say no" alcoholic crowd.

I have a family member who was healthy until age 40, started social drinking and became a hard liquor Alcoholic for the next 15 years. Probably a fifth a day or more.

She is 75 now, but started having dementia around 60. Tests showed something called "white matter disease". Basically she killed off half her "gray matter". Liquor stores on every corner selling the most deadly diseases from brain, to cirrhosis of the liver, esophageal cancer, bleeding ulcers and the list really goes on and on.

If pot smoking is dangerous, it would be known in the Medical Field but there is only small amounts of "oh its worse than cigarettes." As a Hospice Nurse, I have never seen End Stage disease related to Cannabis but I have seen all the others from alcohol and cigarettes.
