Keep Quiet Or Pay Fine

Be prepared to pay-up if you turn your volume up on your car stereo

AKRON, Ohio -- When the weather turns warm, drivers start rolling down the windows and turning up the music on the radio. Akron Police are reminding drivers that if their music is too loud they could be fined.

The City of Akron has a noise ordinance that specifically targets the noise from car stereos.

    • It is interesting to me to hear that some of the public, less educated on the issue have no idea about the harms of energy propagation and interference and they always come up with erroneous justifications for this social acoustic health and environmental threat. They do fit in a category called, "The Spoofers!" in which many of City Councils all over America take sides on it. I am just happy Akron, Ohio Public and Authorities are in the front row of education and enforcement concerning this matter that afflicts so many residents and people that walks, go to lunch and dinners in our streets. I would be more happy if San Francisco would be the educators in this issue. I have been taking the responsibility to air a lots of educative materials since last Year and found many opposition through the channels in bring this issue to the general media here in the Bay Area. Educating the Masses! So Thumbs up Akron, Ohio Fox 8!
