Parrot Summoned to Florida Court in Bird Dispute - Judge to bring crackers

BOCA RATON, Fla. — A South Florida courthouse will host an unusual guest when an African Grey parrot, who is at the center of a dispute between two owners, is summoned.
Angela Colicheski, 52, named the bird Tequila when she bought him 13 years ago. The bird flew away three years ago and ended in the home of Sarita Lytell. She named the bird Lucky.
It may have been luck that the two women met by chance at Dunkin' Donuts and discovered their love for feathered friends. When Colicheski realized the other woman had her bird she asked for it back. Lytell says she looked for the bird's owner when she found him, but after three years is now attached. Colicheski filed a lawsuit in February.
The judge ordered the bird in court Monday.
