One of the young victims of the shocking Edlington attack which has horrified the UK is so scared that he cries when he sees strangers, according to his devastated dad.
The 11-year-old boy was brutally assaulted along with his nine-year-old nephew in the pit village near Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
Two brothers - aged just ten and 11 - have appeared in court accused of the attempted murder, torture and sexual assault of the youngsters.
The older victim had been found face down in a field with serious head injuries, and was briefly put on a life support machine.
