Imagine a world where police have the ability to torture from a distance anyone they want at the touch of a button.
Does that sound like something out of a science fiction novel?
It's not.
It is in the final stages of development and could soon be a reality on the streets of America.
NewScientist is reporting that the U.S. Department of Justice is developing two portable "non-lethal" weapons that inflict severe pain from a distance using either microwave technology or laser beams.
According to that report, the intention of the U.S. Department of Justice is to put these pain ray weapons into the hands of police on the streets of America.
Some observers are very upset about this development, as they claim that giving police the ability to instantly torture anyone they want from a distance is a very dangerous thing to do.
Others are applauding the development of these new "non-lethal" weapons as a step away from the use of "lethal" weapons by police.
All of this comes a couple of months after a report that the U.S. Army will be deploying mobile pain ray trucks (called the Active Denial System) that have the capability to instantly fry the flesh of whole crowds of protesters using microwave technology.

I don't believe that every officer deserves a gun in the first place, but what will happen when someone who isn't a trained officer gets a hold of one of these?

well lets ask the guy in new york who got shot to death because the police thought he had a grenade how he would like these guns
his and many other innocent deaths could be avoided in the future im not supporting crooked cops who kill protesters but the ones who do there job right and want to help people, not kill them, and get criminals off the street should have these
crooked cops is a whole other issue - 2 years ago

They should have these guns they have non lethal tazers and how many stories have you heard of them misusing them and if your innocent wouldn't you rather be hit with a ray gun than an actual gun and die

Maybe anyone can hard boil an egg at 40 feet? It's just a magnetron and a waveguide is all they use for this. Found in every kitchen and landfill.
Personally, I'd like to see a cop shot with rubber bullets while he's being tazed and maced. That would be funny as shit.

detestable!! this is just down right inhumane. i'll be damned if they allow these weapons on the market. imagine it as the equivalent of putting someone in an oven/microwave and burning them alive. it is bound to cause cell damage. how could anyone who is anybody possible inflict harm on an other in such a way so as to cause them excruciating pain!? i suppose that the same can be said of any weapon. however, this is unprecedented; it puts pain on a whole new level-almost equivalent to that of the H-bomb. it never ceases to amaze me how creative we become when inflicting harm on others.

Yes this is very old "news". I live just a few miles from one of the main centers of R&D and manufacturing for a wide variety of some of the most high tech "non-lethal" weapons and know insiders there. They aren't allowed to talk about it but...anyway this is not news but some of the things are still much better than getting hit by bullets and other live rounds from the lethal weapons.
The NWO will require this tech to keep from having to deploy large numbers of troops to control and suppress the armed and insane people who refuse to be calm and would attempt to bring about complete anarchy. People in large population centers will be very unfortunate as the conditions there will degenerate into things like food riots and that will be painful for humanity to go through in this day and age. These types of weapons will be a blessing for some and a curse for others. Pray the next phase of globalization isn't too harsh and doesn't last long. Better days are coming.

"The NIJ's laser weapon has been dubbed Personnel Halting and Stimulation Response - PHaSR - and resembles a bulky rifle."
Haha, set phasers to stun!
So, ummm, what happens when someone gets shot in the eye . . . and what if that person is wearing contacts or glasses?
I'm all about developing non-lethal devices to aid in quelling riots, but I've got a few questions about this one.

So I guess dismantling kitchen microwaves to create body armor will be the new "wave".
Or maybe Faraday Suits.
