It is weird not being able to talk to many people about weed, especially in a liberal town like Ithaca, for fear of risking my chances of ever getting American citizenship, or being send back to Pot Heaven Holland.

I too learned appreciate cannabanoids far above Cayuga's waters...at that very same campus as a senior...never tried it prior...but I was informed that Ithaca gets a special strain of Jamaican red hair called Tompkin's County weed...good stuff! At any rate, interesting!

Further damage to the government when realization is that Prohibition was to satisfy the financial interests of favored industries. (Dupont nylon, Hearst logging/paper, and renewal of prohibition easy enforcement police work)

"The prestige of government is undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the Prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this."

The "war on drugs" is maybe the biggest failure in American history. I think that as we, the younger generation, transition into the political positions currently held by our more conservative elders, that we can start to make changes to the laws of our land.

Sooner or later our Govt will figure it out. Hopefully sooner than later. What am I saying?!! I've already been waiting 40 years. How much longer do they need? If they finally legalize cannabis on the day I die I'm coming back to haunt them.
The majority of our population already knows there's nothing wrong with cannabis except it's prohibition. What's the story on the Govt? Are they on a long lunch?
