'Girls Gone Wild' Ad disrupts religious Good Friday TV program

Comcast spokesman Jeff Alexander says the 2 a.m. Friday programming glitch was due to a required test of the Emergency Alert System. He says such tests are usually done in the overnight hours.
The test automatically tunes viewers to a preselected channel that would provide information in the event of an emergency. But during tests, the channel airs regular programming, which in this case included a paid advertisement for the racy videos. Alexander says the problem affected the network's entire local area, but only one person called to complain.

Reminds me of some Mad TV-like sketch about an ad for Texas Seesaw Massacre. "You aired it during an episode of Blues Clues."

I suppose it could be assumed that either only one person was watching, or only one person was offended. I find humor in both outcomes.

Whats Hilarious is the statement by Comcast "..2 a.m. Friday programming glitch was due to a required test of the Emergency Alert System." That's a hell of an emergency at 2AM maybe for horny teens. What are they doing showing a catholic mass at 2AM anyways.

I suppose it's hilarious, I also try to see it from the side of the person watching a Catholic mass. It must be disturbing. But, since only 1 person complained it could not have been that upsetting uh!?

allow me to restate once again:
My God works in OBVIOUS ways. nothing He does is mysterious. NOTHING. what He wants us to know He makes very clear. He does not speak in silly riddles. he leaves nothing to interpitation.

well, since the overwhelming majority of the world is religious and at the same time ggw is rolling in the depraved dough, i dont see this really affecting people in ways they havent seen to themselves.

Probably was to the families that had children watching the mass. We have to respect people's choices as to what to watch on TV. Something like this is terrible. I am 54 and a grandmother of 4 I would be horrified if the children where in my care and this would happen.

I think it is important. As long as these are public air waves and we have the potential of kids watching it's important. I think the day we shut our eyes and don't care we will find even more important things to talk about.
