Good mix of viewpoints. I definitely enjoy twitter, but maybe that's just because I enjoy reading updates of the people I "follow." Though I can see how ridiculous all this Twitter lingo is.
As long as you follow people who give somewhat meaningful updates, I'd say you're good. And if following normal, everyday people annoys you, there's always news and blog accounts that function kind of like a syndicated feed.

I was the same way and did the same thing, I set up an acct and got annoyed with it pretty quick. But, one day I had a tweet with Shaq and Megan McCain in the same day and I thought what are the chances of taking to these people under any other circumstances. I was into it after that.

I think people first approached email with the same skepticism expressed in these comments. I was one of you, too, until I gave Twitter a try for a few weeks. Now I'm a convert. Not that I think everyone will like it. But it really is useful and there's something addictive and fun about it.

I don't really understand twitter, can't you just send a single text message to a group of friends from your cell phone and accomplish the same thing?

Loved how it came out and loved participating in it! Re-tweeting like crazy now. Perhaps the next topic could cover the Tea-parties going on around the nation, or Amazon's move to a new filter for searches, or even a followup on the deathbed of the print journalism industry...

Thanks for all the responses, everybody! This was a fun exercise. I love "seeing" some of you, so kudos to the brave folks who turned the cameras on.
