There's just no evidence that fanatical Muslims did 9/11 except for some unburned passports. Think about it. The tv networks just flashed 19 faces for four months straight and then said Osama bin Laden over and over.

Was 9/11 an inside job? Possibly. Were the buildings purposely demolished? Maybe. There are a great deal of "holes" in the official story given but that doesnt necessarily mean that there was a large scale conspiracy at work.
What about the frantic phone calls of victims aboard the doomed planes that claimed that Islamic terrorists had hijacked the planes? How would the Government be involved in that?
While i do agree that there are a great deal of inconsistencies at work, the conspiracy theories are generally overly complicated as well. According to Occam's Razor, the simplest answer is usually the correct answer.
What is the simplest answer? Muslim terrorists planned, orchestrated and conducted the 9/11 attacks. The American people were COMPLETELY unprepared for an attack on our home soil and as a result our defenses were weak and reaction times were slow.

Unfortunatelu, the FBI has determined that Americans do not need to know about the involvement of the Israelis in connection with 9/11 and have classified the evidence.

Patriotic police arrested Israelis that they thought had some connection to 9/11.
Unfortunately, the FBI had already determined that fanatical Muslims did 9/11 because they found some unburned passports and a bunch of Korans left for them to find.

I took a class where we read extensively on all documentation surrounding 9/11. We watched movies, searched news, researched the event ad nauseam.
It seems that the intelligent folks who read and research wholeheartedly disagree with the official explanation. People cannot fathom that their government would do this, and I'm not willing enough to convince them otherwise anymore.Believe what you want. I'm tired of arguing this topic.

"If Iran escalates its military action in Iraq to the detriment of our troops and/or innocent Iraqi people, we will respond firmly," Bush told NPR. "We – it makes common sense for the commander-in-chief to say to our troops and the Iraqi people and the Iraqi government that we will help you defend yourself from people that want to sow discord and harm. And so we will do what it takes to protect our troops," he said.

Before Bush decided to invade and occupy Iraq, he told a shell-shocked nation which was reeling from the 9-11 attacks and anxious because the alleged perps were still at-large, that Saddam posed a threat to the U.S. because he was hiding WMDs and giving aid and comfort to terrorists. But the remarkable thing about his accusations is that Saddam Hussein had never actually threatened the U.S. before Bush's invasion; not with weapons or anything else. Now, Bush wants Americans to accept that he has "proof" of Iran aiding those who are resisting his swaggering militarism in Iraq.
Congress and most Americans decided to give Bush the benefit of the doubt when he said he had "evidence" against Saddam in 2003, because the 'decider' was a mostly unknown quantity who promised everything he could in the way of retaliation and consequences for the 9-11 attacks. "Bin-Laden wanted: Dead or alive," was the phrase he used to reassure the country that he intended to be relentless in his pursuit of the terror suspects.Yet, Bush failed in that hunt for the original terrorists suspected in the attacks, and diverted the bulk of our nation's active defenses from Afghanistan to attack Iraq; a country who's government had never threatened the U.S. with harm.

The scientific facts of nano thermites and their role in the 9/11 event have been well established for a number of years since the event took place. You can choose to use "conspiracy" to dismiss the facts which have been well established about the truth of the 9/11 event if you like. Give it any label you like it doesn't alter the facts.
I don't personally believe in "conspiracy theories", they're far too simplistic.
Explosive charges were placed into the towers after the first bombing as part of a required city code for buildings of a certain height in NYC which wasn't in effect when the towers were built.
In the event of something catastrophic which would threaten to bring down a skyscraper it keeps them from toppling over and wiping out far more of the city than they do in such perfectly executed cascading demolitions as we witnessed on 9/11. It was absolutely textbook and easily recognized by anyone who has any knowledge of such things which apparently some here do not.
That's not "conspiracy" unless you think the NYCity government was somehow in on a "conspiracy" well before the first bombing. "Conspiracy Theory" is the fall back catch phrase for anyone who chooses to deny the facts.
In any case, this event and the next one, like many others, were prophesied in the Bible in very clear language for those not encumbered by the tendency to ignore the truth even after it comes up and bites them in the ass.

By the way:
Atheism is just another religion unto itself. It is also in the process of becoming an Organized Religion and it too has its various sects and divisions including its radical evangelical wing which is well represented here on Current.com.
I don't have a problem with any religion. I'm only interested in truth and truth as universal as is possible to discover.
All should be free in this world to practice their religion as they choose provided it doesn't require them to have any negative or at worst harmful impact on the commonweal which includes the environment/biosphere of the planet we all live on, or any other individual.
The very fact that a person can conceive of the non-existence of God is a clear proof of the very reality of God.
As far as I'm concerned the Atheist is just worshiping God in his/her own way and must be absolutely free to do so, as should the devout worshiper of Satan as long as they don't insist on sacrificing children to Moloch.

Bahai144:
Oh man your lucky I'm bored...
I fail to see how atheists are in a way worshiping their own god. If that's the case then I have misused the word. I believe in nothing more than science reveals, for everything else there is my imagination (I really wanted to say mastercard). I can think of radical ways that we came into existence but that does not make it fact. I fail to see why one can believe anything they cannot not see, hear, smell or touch.
However, I cannot lay down criticism until I know how one defines god. If you want to believe that a god created the universe 13.7 billion years ago that's fine with me. There is no science before that point so knock yourself out, but my friend the reality is, I don't know how we got here and neither do you. If you want to believe that god created the universe 10, 000 years ago and the earth is 6000 years old then you have lost any respect I have for you.

Bahai144:
Well "neonbunny",
It's clear you would rather make assumptions about what I believe than reading anything about the Baha'i Faith. No worries there.
On one hand you say that you believe in science. Then you continue and state that you fail to see how anyone can believe in anything they can't "see, smell, hear or touch".
This statement, aside from the fact that you apparently only rely on four of your biological senses completely opposes your statement about science as the entire realm of abstract thought is beyond your physical (5) senses and the entire realm of science is about employing abstract thought and logic to comprehend the entire world/universe in ways that can only be understood by extending oneself beyond the abilities of the (5) physical senses. The other discordant position in regard to how you claim to formulate your perception of your reality is to rely for everything else on your imagination. Dude you're all over the map. Yet you actually think my position is somehow laughable? Given what you stated about your own cognition process in regard to your understanding of "life, the universe and everything" as I like to put it quoting "Hitchikers Guide", I question whether or not you are coherent enough to "get" where I'm coming from. Just in case I'm wrong about you here's a link you can go to and check out what I as a Baha'i would believe about the aforementioned subjects.
http://www.bupc.org/P.S. Do you really lack the ability to taste? My sincerest apologies to you if you do, as I would never make light of anyone's life challenge or physical affliction.

John Lear, a captain for a major US Airline has flown over 160 different types of aircraft in over 50 different countries. He holds 17 world speed record in the Lear Jet and is the only pilot ever to hold every airline certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. Mr. Lear has flown missions worldwide for the CIA and other government agencies. A former Nevada State Senator candidate, he is the son of William P. Lear, designer of the Lear Jet executive airplane, the 8-track stereo, and founder of Lear Siegler Corporation.
=============================Twenty-five former U.S. military officers have severely criticized the official account of 9/11 and called for a new investigation. They include former commander of U.S. Army Intelligence, Major General Albert Stubblebine, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Col. Ronald D. Ray, two former staff members of the Director of the National Security Agency; Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski, PhD, and Major John M. Newman, PhD, and many others. They are among the rapidly growing number of military and intelligence service veterans, scientists, engineers, and architects challenging the government’s story. The officers’ statements appear below, listed alphabetically.
Lt. Col. Robert Bowman, PhD “A lot of these pieces of information, taken together, prove that the official story, the official conspiracy theory of 9/11 is a bunch of hogwash. It’s impossible,” said Lt. Col. Robert Bowman, PhD, U.S. Air Force (ret). With doctoral degrees in Aeronautics and Nuclear Engineering, Col. 9-11 Research: The Evidence
Looks like a cover up to me. And as far as WTC 7 goes, there really was no reason for it to implode as the other two buildings did as no other buildings near it did. I used to work down there years ago and actually went into WTC 7 on a couple of occasions, and heard that there were government offices there. It would seem that building may have had information stored in it that wasn't for anyone's eyes.(?)
And anyone who thinks that to question your government is being a conspiracy theorist doesn't understand what the Constitution is all about. We got NO accountability from this tragedy.
I have wondered many times about the money trail surrounding that day. There were puts and calls placed on the airlines and someone made a bundle from it.
I also wonder why no one in any agency lost their job over this.
I also wonder how the FBI could state unequivocably the identities of the 'hijackers' when the planes allegedly exploded and disintegrated in the buildings.
I also wonder why Bush and Cheney as well as others were allowed to testify without being under oath. Even Clinton had to be under oath about a blowjob.
I also wonder about the interview Dan Rather had with an employee of FEMA who claimed he was deployed to NYC the night BEFORE 9.11. Some have contributed that response to "fatigue" after the fact, and of course they would.
I wonder about the events leading up to 9.11 regarding Bush telling John O'Neill of the FBI to
'back off Bin Laden' which led to O'Neill's leaving the FBI the July before 9.11- and getting a job in security at the WTC where he died there his first day, which was 9.11.I wonder about the relationship between Marvin Bush and the insurers of the buildings.
I wonder why Bin Laden's brother was allegedly in a meeting in Washington DC that day with Bush's father and the Carlyle Group as they watched the attacks from a tv set in the hotel they were in.
I wonder why people in this country are so damned convinced that their government wouldn't allow this to happen knowing the political gains it would give them. For me, I think the scenario of them knowing it was coming and allowing it to happen is more probable. Any government that can "shock and awe" a country that did not attack us knowing it was going to kill hundreds of innocent children, wouldn't bat an eye over a couple thousand Americans in the pursuit of their ultimate goal.
There are also many reports of intelligence chatter before this happened. Therefore, I find it inconceivable that this knowledge was not known by people in our own government.
Just go over the events of that morning when Bush claimed to have seen the "first" plane hit on a television that was so conveniently placed in the hallway of the school he was 'reading' in. He couldn't have seen the first plane hit in real time (unless he was watching on closed circuit Tv) because there was no video of that until later in the day. The entire timeline of Bush's visit and his obvious lack of urgency to MOVE when being told America was under attack was the grossest dereliction of duty of a 'president' I have ever witnessed.
And yet, through all of the misinformation, incompetence, and unanswered questions we are simply supposed to believe a whitewashed report put together by people who are actually part of the incompetence, instead of being vigilant free thinking Americans searching for the truth.
Ok, whatever.

Again, see how fast we devolve into the JFK mystery wrapped into an enigma syndrome which yields nothing but a counter productive standstill that serves no one but the same people that the original 9-11 commissioners identify as blocking this investigation...
Check my posts for backstory...
http://current.com/items/89962227/official_9_11_commission_version_of_september_...If "9-11 CHANGED EVERYTHING" shouldn't we get to the bottom of this ? or maybe this is 'again' no time for questions & dissent cause we have a war on terror to win ;)

I really hate people who throw around the words "Conspiracy Theory" or "Conspiracy Theorist".
Lets just try and make the person sound like a wack job without even touching their statement or trying to debunk it... that's all you are doing. Either explain why someone is wrong or accept that their theories could be feasible.
Let's face it... last polls I saw stated that between 40% to 55% of the American public thinks there was a cover up of 9/11 (if I recall a CNN poll said 89% or so did... but I figured I would use the lower numbers). If that many people feel there was more too it and probably way more than that have the "gut feeling" that the official version was bullshit but are too afraid to join in because of the implications could that many people really be wrong?
Look at the implications of us being right about government involvement in 9/11. That would mean that either the Bush Administration or some other high level group or person in the government committed "False Flag" Terrorism against the US. Our government has admitted to doing this type of attack on numerous occasions to start a war or get some other benefit so why is it so hard to believe they could have done it again? It's a scary thought to think you were attacked by your government, the very people that are supposed to be keeping us safe from that type of thing. I think that's why so many people have a hard time accepting government involvement.
People always say "The government can barely run itself, how could they manage to pull off something like this and cover it up?" Well, "my" answer to that only a handful of government personnel needed to be involved. Hell... according the official statement 19 hijackers pulled it off so that proves a small amount of people were responsible either way. Perhaps the hijackers were merely patsies to a lone CIA operative or many other possibilities.
In the end I think we all need to keep an open mind regarding 9/11. We know the official version doesn't make sense and doesn't add up and so it's up to us to find the truth that we know is out there. Maybe the government isn't hiding quite as much information as we think they are or maybe they are hiding a whole lot more. We probably won't find out in our lifetimes, but maybe our children will.

Even IF the buildings could have been cut, uh wouldn't someone notice that being done? Maybe the crazy suiciders did it to be "sure" everyone died since the same attempt was made with a bomb a few years back with minor damage.
Remember, these guys dressed and acted like citizens. Even took flying lessons in FL where I live!!!
Can you imagine the number of people that would have to be in the loop to orchestrate this? Our government messes everything up. The motto of Terrorists is "revenge is best served cold". They planned this for a long, long time. Not just the towers, why in the world would we kill those people, hit the pentagon and head for the White House?
Explain the wives who talked to their husbands and vice versa to say good-bye. Are the surviving family members in on it too?
God, it will happen again somewhere so be sure to get ready for another conspiracy theory.
There are so many holes in the Conspiracy theories that you could take all day listing them. And you people who believe this garbage hurt all their families over and over. This is an extremely disingenuous argument- it is extremely important to understand all aspects of this tragedy and right now the official explanation is not holding up to scrutiny.
Just accepting the official 9/11 explanation is akin to the Germans blaming the Reichstag on the communists thus giving Hitler an excuse to run Germany under 'emergency decree'.

Watch the documentary Loose Change. It covers the Thermite issue thoroughly. No modern sky-scraper has ever been brought down by fire. The chemistry and physics just don't add up.
Can anybody tell us why Building #7 fell down??

The terrorists were in the USA for years plotting this. They would be able to do any of your disputed claims themselves.

The owner of building 7 has admitted to having the building demolished. In my mind his statement proves foul play because to demolish the building he would had to have foreknowledge of the event...

ever heard of an explosion. the majority ignites and burns within the first few seconds of impact. the resulting fire was cause byt the fire from the jet fuel not the jet fuel itself. no way near enough jet fuel to weaken steel from base to impact level of the towers. And.. if it did weaken. why the fall into its own foot. why no slanting, crimping, or individual parts falling... why the entire building, into itself, floor by floor by floor?

do some research come back to me with facts...oh and your jet fuel theory, well how is it possible for a building to collpase at a 'free fall' speed and yet leave a passport perfectly intact....HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

ok but the fact that it is phyically impossible for two towers meant to withstand a plane crash to collapse the way theydid and the fact that they found molton metal burning 100s of degrees higher than plane fuel actually burns in the wreckage. YOU are trippin if you deny that the buildings were rigged. watch loose change on google videos and see whats good

You know I don't think it's that people can't believe that something other than planes did this to the towers, I think it't that people can't understand and don't want to understand that the american governement would do this all to start a war. That the american government could care so little about it's people. So I ask, is this the same government responsible for the delay at katrina? is this the same government which outed its own hard working operatives? is this the same government who have, had, and are still having so many scandals and controversies on how and who ran it, the american people, and our governmental system into the ground long after it has left its respective office?
Well if we are talking about the same government then i don't see the problem in noticing their trend of thought. And don't even think this is a democrat v republican thing because they are just different sides of the same coin. and every four years the american people flicks it to see who will control the agenda next.
