The title is the number in a given population required to make a change in that total population.
In other words, work it backwards, take one percent of a population's total number, then take the square root of that result to get the number of people required to change the behavior of that total population.
1% of 10,000 is 100, and the square root of 100 is 10.
This means that 10 people conscientiously thinking or meditating about the total population will affect the behavior of the whole population of 10,000.
Or 71 people will affect the whole population of 500,000.
Or 1732 will affect the whole population of 300,000,000. - 1 year ago

Im confused by the title. The square root of one percent (as in .01) would be 10 percent (as in .1) unless you mean the square root of 1 which would just be 1. So why not just say 1% or 10% instead of making it confusing?
