    • it's great to hear that a multi million dollar corporation hasn't lost sight of the fact that the people who pay their paychecks are the ones struggling to afford tickets to the games... hopefully this whole economy thing turns around soon, fenway is teasing me from afar!

      Thanks so much!

Red Sox opening day!! - that must have been a fun tradition to keep for 15 years - that sucks you had to miss it this year. :( Fenway is one of my fave ever parks - how could you not love it! The last game I went to there, I was in a standing section behind homeplate...along with several members of David Ortiz's posse (who must've had better seats...who knows why they were hanging out with us?!), who seemed surprised when I finally, politely asked, in spanish, for them to please stop standing in front of the standing section! They were quite nice. :)

    • Wow! What a great piece - so much good info! Makes me want to go to the ballpark! Current should keep a "current" listing of all the deals around the country for all the major league (and minor league) parks that people could refer to when they are going to a city with a team. That would be a great service!!!

    • Baseball definitely has a unique position in America's culture and history, more so than any other professional sport. For whatever reason, getting gouged to watch professional baseball is more insulting than other sports, like football, perhaps because it feels like watching baseball is an "American" thing to do. It feels like all Americans have a right to watch baseball, so when it becomes unaffordable, we're being denied from participating in the American Experience. If the NBA or NFL gouges me, I can just blame it on out-of-control greed. But if I can't watch baseball, they're taking away part of my history and culture, so it's personal. It may be about the most boring sport ever, but I like it anyway. It's part of my American DNA.

    • I love baseball, and I love how there are so many deals to go and checkout the game, my favorite is 2 tickets for $2 Tuesdays, can't beat that, now those are the sky high seats, but the ballpark here is small and we always end up moving down anyway.
