Manchester United and Arsenal in Champions League Semis

Manchester United and Arsenal have joined Barcelona and Chelsea at the UEFA Champions League semi finals with a 75% chance of an all English final in Rome.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal play each other on April 29th (First Leg) and 5th May (Second Leg).

Scores on the night:
Arsenal 3-0 Villareal (AGG 4-1)
Porto 0-1 Manchester United (AGG 2-3)

      I have to say a Utd v Barca final does sound appealing, a real clash of the titans tie. I would say the winner of that game would earn the right to call themselves the best team in the world.

    • Hmmm, Utd v Arsenal in the Champions league Semi final. On paper it should be an absolute classic encounter with 2 of the most self righteous teams going up against each other. The best attacking team in the premiership (second only to Barca) against the very best counter attacking team in the world, youth against a more experienced side, north versus south, a side slightly stuttering at the moment against one of the form teams and with two managers who don't exactly see eye to eye.

      These games aren't played out on paper though, i can imagine I can see it starting out quite cagey then the tie exploding to life on some flashpoint. I hope it lives up to it's promise.

      Also hopefully Barca will school Chelski as it would be a travesty if they weren't in the final with the football they've played this year.

    • You know what i'm proud of my Arse that they could even get to the semi's with all the setbacks injuries and inside fights that they've had. It is really a great testament to a great club who are really set on achieving big things. My worry is with liverpool chelsea and if we beat chelsea man utd x4 may be a little too much for us to cope with. But all or players are gradually coming back so i will put it out there and say Arsenal v Barcelona in the final. COME ON YOU REDS!
