She discusses why she decided to run, the challenges Afghan women face, and why the upcoming elections in Afghanistan are so important for the international community to be concerned about. The interview was conducted in New York City when Dr. Jalal visited the States to promote "FrontRunner", a documentary about her 2004 campaign.
