Masumi Hayashi, a Japanese woman responsible for killing four people and poisoning as many as 63, was given the death-sentence after she was found guilty of lacing curry with arsenic poison, during a festival in 1998.
Japanese media state that Hayashi became enraged after being shunned by her neighbours and put arsenic poison in the curry when she was alone in the garage where it was being prepared.
