Joe Scarborough: Blame Dana Priest "If Planes Go Into Buildings" Because She Reported On Waterboarding

If America gets hit again it will be due to George W. Bush and his enablers. It's time to hold them all accountable using facts. 'Shame in plain sight' -- that's the change we need. These guys are shameful!

Joe Scarborough seems to think that the sadistic use of waterboarding has been an essential and successful component of our national security apparatus, when in truth, its a fantastic boon to terrorist recruiters. Apparently, however, these programs - torture, rendition, secret prisons - are so dear to him, that he'll be holding Washington Post reporter Dana Priest responsible for any further deaths related to terrorism. This is, as they say, bonkers:

SCARBOROUGH: The second Dana Priest wrote her article and we had this debate on waterboarding, we were moving towards not using waterboarding again. We don't - these techniques are worthless now anyways, so if planes go into buildings, well don't blame Barack Obama, blame Dana Priest and the chaos that occurred after that cause that was - when her article came out, from that point forward, this secret CIA program was dead on arrival.

    • I agree with your Alan Colmes point. But, it's time to stop mainstream media from spinning for the right, or the left. They should all be held accountable for what comes out of their mouth. Shamed when necessary, not spun into 'it's okay', move along. People should pause for a moment and let their words sink in. WORDS MATTER! FACTS MATTER! SPIN MATTERS MORE AND SHOULD BE ELIMINATED FROM PAID TV.

      I can't believe we must pay for spin. I want news we can use, not spinning of distorted facts, which makes news confused. Spinning confuses ordinary Americans to believe facts could go either way. All they have to do is find a spinner willing to say the earth is flat and it could go either way. It really can't, the earth will still be round!

    • Joe Scarborough is to msnbc what Alan Colmes was to foxnews. Hes only there to make the oppisition look foolish. I wouldn't be suprised if they payed him extra to make an ass out of himself.

      I'm not trying to defend waterboarding, frankly, I think its disgusting that we even have to debate torture. I don't think its worth even discussing anything that comes out of Scarborough's mouth.
