Current "swine flu" is an unknown hybrid of pig, bird, human viruses

This is an interesting report and an angle on the Swine Flu outbreak that I haven't heard reported by most media. It seems this "Swine Flu" is actually a previously unknown hybrid virus containing elements of human, avain and swine flu viruses.

From that perspective I can see why the powers that be are reacting the way they are as it would be a totally unknown element to deal with.

The publisher of this story lists sources as Reuters and others so it seems to be valid. Further searching provided links to the same info from other sources such as MSNBC.

Interestingly, I found a report from March 11, 2008 on Reuters which predicted exactly this kind of virus hybrid including the human to human communicability:

I think more news sources need to tell people that this isn't even Swine Flu, it is a new hybrid and, until it runs it's course for a while, no one really knows what it will do or what it's actual mortality rate will be. I feel like I have been clueless for the last few days simply because I was relying on TV news as a primary source for information on the subject.

On the other hand there are so many rumors and conspiracy theories flying around on the internet that it takes a bit of digging to turn up the valid bits of info. In this case though I wish I would have done that necessary digging sooner as I would have changed my response to the reports.

      Like every goddamn fucking flu virus.

      You all need to research the history of epedimiology.

      This flu virus was created just like every flu virus ever-- people keeping their livestock too close together. It jumped from one species to an intermediary species, and then to pigs.

      Just like it did back in 700 BC in China.

    • those us bio weapons are pretty harsh. This time they went out of their way to release it in mexico not around one of their bio weapon labs. Also how come only mexicans are dropping dead because of this, could it be that it's a race specific bio weapon?
      Naa who am i kidding our governments would never do something like that.

      Maybe its only killing mexicans because well lets see they live in a third world nation? They live in poor conditions and have shit health services compared to the U.S.

      and the us has such great health care? if you have money... well same shit goes for mexico you think that people with money can't get better treatment than the poor ones? Also the us is a first world country, in some parts, but look around because there is a lot of pockets in the us where it looks like a third world country and worse.
