THE REAL REASON HEMP IS ILLEGAL

Image
AtomUniverse1
The real reason Cannabis has been outlawed has nothing to do with its effects on the mind and body.

MARIJUANA IS NOT DANGEROUS. Pot is NOT harmful to the human body or mind. Marijuana does NOT pose a threat to the general public. Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people.

The truth is if marijuana was utilized for its vast array of commercial products, it would create an industrial atomic bomb! Entrepreneurs have not been educated on the product potential of pot. The super rich have conspired to spread misinformation about an extremely versatile plant that, if used properly, would ruin their companies.

Where did the word 'marijuana' come from? In the mid 1930s, the M-word was created to tarnish the good image and phenomenal history of the hemp plant...as you will read. The facts cited here, with references, are generally verifiable in the Encyclopedia Britannica which was printed on hemp paper for 150 years:

    • AtomUniverse you sound like the only one getting frustrated. We're all just sharing our own personal experiences and opinions about pot. Just go light another one up n you'll feel much better ; )

And... I think you should of copy n pasted more from the original article or at least told the reader it was an excerpt because I didn't even know there was an original until after I wrote my response. Then I read it and it made much more sense what you were trying to say. I didn't even know hemp has so many valuable uses.

And also do more research, there's a difference between commercial hemp and cannabis you smoke to get high.

Yes, it's fine getting stoned - for a while, etc. But 99% if not 100% of the time, people do just throw away years of their life - sitting around in a stupor.

It's fun sometimes, it's a blast sometimes - but then it's every day, which means all of your life. And your life is a life of being a stoner. That's a partialed life, a percent of a life.

I remember riding with friends up to a driveway where these guys, we knew, were working under a hood. -We said 'hey, let's go to the beach (and get wiped out)' This guy came over, one us we knew well, but he looked right at me and said with a smile, "you don't know, do you? - If you don't get stoned, you can actually get something done! - You ought to try it sometime..."

I didn't know what he was talking about.

I'll say it again: When you lay off all the dope and drugs and pot - everything, time will pass and at some point, your brain gets healthy, literally - and then you find a whole new -re-remembered you. One minute you're driving in your barely running old car, and the next, you're a jet fighter.
It doesn't happen right away, you have to get fully healthy first. It means getting fully clean. Cleaned out.

Talk about MORE. More happens. If you are a stoner, you have forgotten how great you felt before - maybe when you were a kid.

Drug people are in a continuously unhealthy state - from which they think they must feel better by getting stoned again.

They actually don't know they'd feel better in the first place if they didn't use drugs.
Your body has to fight that stuff off. The health constantly is labored by the drugs. Your health.

You think you're cool, you really do - and you really are - but you're far better than whatever you think of yourself.

Ya gotta stop all the pollutants you're pouring into that body.
It's like you got a coal burn-tower you're tokin' on. It ain't good. Sorry to be the messenger.

      Body and mind, man.

Lay off the dope, get in shape - You're health goes to 100%, your brain goes to 100% - everybody around you will see it, all the time. You will see it.

Nothing better than YOU, at 100%.

    • I believe the reason marijuana remains illegal falls in line with the original statement of "the billionaires want to remain billionaires." The author never fully articulated his meaning behind this.

I believe, as of now, it is more profitable for pot remain illegal than it is otherwise.

In 2007, more than 800,000 people were arrested for marijuana related offenses. 89% of which, for mere possession alone. This translates to big dollars in fines (revenue) for the government.

If bud was made legal, I believe a majority of people would grow their own. So that would make it hard for big companies to capitalize off the sale of marijuana. Nobody would go buy some bunk crap at the store packaged like cigarettes. People would still sell it just like they always have and most wouldn't pay taxes on it because that would mean getting a business license and claiming the money you make as 'taxable income'. And potheads are too lazy to do all that. So this means a major loss of money for the government. Pot is just too hard to regulate and profit from, unlike alcohol on the other hand. I can't go make a bottle of single barrel Jack Daniels or a bottle of Cristol, but if pot was legal, best believe I'd be growing the most killer strawberry cough or O.G. kush or sour diesel. For three reasons, 1. A female marijuana plant is probably the most beautiful flower you've ever seen, each strain having it's own distinct look. 2. I wouldn't have to spend $100/week anymore. 3. I'd have a couple extra thousand dollars every month by selling it to my friends. And this 3rd reason is why it would be hard for the government to legalize it anytime soon. It would probably mean a rise in unemployment and a bunch of unaccounted surplus money in the money supply which, over time, means a rise in inflation.

So 'the billionaires want to remain billionaires' does have some merit.

Even though I think pot should be legalized, I wouldn't count on it anytime soon. At least now, in a lot of states like Nevada (where I live), bud has been decriminalized to an extent. Now if you possess an ounce or less, it's just a misdemeanor, which means a small fine or sometimes they just dump it out in front of you and let you go.

And the fact that pot makes you 'more creative' is not always true. There are productive, artistic potheads, but for the most part it makes you flat out lazy and counter-productive.

I've smoked weed everyday since I was 13, an average of probably 2 blunts a day and this year I'll be 23. I haven't smoked in over 2 months now and I'm starting to have dreams again, I'm back in the gym, I've been reading a lot more, I've been waking up early and I've been getting shit done!

I don't think there's anything wrong with smoking, as long as it doesn't keep you from living life. Once you get all your shit done during the day, then kick back and fire one up at night. As I like to say, "get your 'grown man' smoke on." Don't wake-n-bake like a loser and sit on your couch all day, playing video games, surfing the net and eating the pantry down! Get up, get out, and go get some!

      Peace

    • I smoked for about 25 years. Every day. I quit because it started giving me headaches every time I smoked it. I keep hearing about how there are no negative effects from smoking marijuana. I agree that it is less harmful than alcohol or tobacco. I think it should be legalized. Right now, it's a complete waste of time and money that our cop/Nazis keep busting people for small amounts, and shutting down the medical marijuana clinics. Shit, just let people buy it from a store, without having to get a bogus prescription from some scam doctor for $250.

There are negatives. My 19 year old kid is wasting his fucking life away, getting stoned every day, blowing off college to sit around and get stoned. What's this bullshit about creativity? What about grown men sitting in a room for 15 hours smoking weed, munching out and playing video games?

Other than what it does to a young persons motivation, they aren't hurting anyone but themselves. Ask yourself, is your life better with weed in it? If it is, you've got other issues. My life got better when I quit. My relationships got better. My work, and work attitude improved immensely. Look at it objectively, as you would if you were an alcoholic, or a tobacco fiend. Does it really improve your life?

    • Hemp is one of the most amazing plants...what can you NOT make out of it? I have yet to hear a valid reason for the ban on growing hemp.

    • The flowering Marijuana plant is among the most beautiful, but Alien? It is second to herion for creativity. The reason it is illegal is Christians, not Billionares. A very natural alternative to alcohol, far less destructive to mind and body. As with everything, moderation is the key.

    • I agree with Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and John Adams. Not the spinners who have spun a war of choice on American soil, using fixed facts and occasionally out and out lies.

"Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country."
      - Thomas Jefferson, U.S. President

"Make the most you can of the Indian Hemp seed and sow it everywhere."
      - George Washington, U.S. President

"We shall, by and by, want a world of hemp more for our own consumption."
      - John Adams, U.S. President

Ronald Reagan uttered these words and no one held him accountable, they just moved along.

"I now have absolute proof that smoking even one marijuana cigarette is equal in brain damage to being on Bikini Island during an H-bomb blast" - Ronald Reagan

In America today, it's sociably acceptable to lie, if it fits ones goals. We just move along.

Every thing is fair in love and war? Not really, that's spin!

    • I agree that hemp is a valuable resource that should be re-introduced into main stream manufacturing of its different uses! As for it being an alien plant? Not likely. Life on earth can be and is so very diverse. I have learned of things that are truly as if they came from other worlds yet are indeed from our earth. Also I hope that "growing your own" become legal so that we can reduce the criminal activity that comes with the underworld culture. It should be our right as Americans to be able to grow are own, just like our forefathers were able to do. George Washington distilled his own wiskey and I am sure that before pot was illegal there were many people who smoked it. It makes the best rope too. Also for those who grow it, grow it for yourselves. Don't get greedy. And all of the people who smoke should do so in moderation like everything else. Peace.

    • Well, ya know - alcohol is kind-a like to opposite of all the other drugs.
      Of the many objectionable aspects, it also has the fairly unique attributes of allowing people to drop their defensive constructs - and get laid. :-}

    • Maybe - if you play music, but best record yourself and listen later.

Also, people learn lessons with different experience - but once learned, perhaps there's new things to experience - and new lessons.

The situation of pot imbibing necessarily, also means a constant repetition of what should be undesirable aspects. Stupor - a withdrawal from physical activity and resultant negative long-term health effects, the imposition of the fat body-set from habitual munchie raids. The stuff gets down in your bone marrow. You have to lay off for at least 30 days to get it out of your blood stream.

Also: the general letting of oneself go - the long hair creeping into the countenance, which impacts one's social position and produces the constant rejection of otherwise nice strangers.

It all has an effect. It adds up from without. Like an enveloping bubble.

So, it is good to ask oneself if their present life style is fulfilling all one's dreams.

Cause there's all that other life going on out there - that you may be missing out on.

      :-}
