VW4Life-Wild Weekend "13th Annual VW's Over the Skyway May 3rd 2009 "

The event was a blast... VW's Over the Skyway had a huge turnout. There were again over 200 vw's possibly even more. A BIG THANK YOU to Eddy the cam-van man and Camera operator Bert Bartawski. And Bert owes Eddy some brewski's as we learned in the footage that Bert almost fell out the van going up the bridge. Careful Gents...Could polk an eye out or something.

It's a bit long but I wanted to give you a view from start to finish. We drove a 1966 beetle in the 2nd group, its the bahama blue bug driving by Bert blowning the horn. If you like VW's then this event should be right up your alley.

We met some great folks and feel like part of the family. God Bless You Sven and your lovely wife and all your crew/sponsers Thanks for putting on a Awesome event.

    • I love the video. I live in Sarasota and I hate I missed this event. I run a site called www.seevwtv.com where its nothing but interviews with VW owners just like you! Hopefully, I will make the next VW show in the area. If you know any VW owners in the Sarasota/ Bradenton/ Tampa/ Clearwater area I would love to interview them. Just write me and let me know.

      hey videoguy80 maybe next year we can all ride together to the 14th year one over the skyway! that was a unique experiece. you can interview us any time you can.If not you can come down and see us at our 1st annual vw car show in port charlotte florida. tony & cathy from charlotte harbor vw club.

      Tony, when is that show? Where do you guys live? I'm always amped and ready to shoot videos for the site so this interview will probably happen sooner than later if that's okay? We can set up a time to meet and I can shoot your interview then. Also, if you know any one else who owns a VW it would be nice to have them there as well so I could interview them too.     • all i can say is wow!!!!! we had gone to one vw car show only before and loved it,but as our web site says its at this show that we fell head over heals in love with the vw families.tony my husband went to take some flyers out for a cause ,but while there we desided to come back for the ride over the bridge. we took our 16 year old son and we had never seen him so excited! he is our youngest boy of 3. nowwwwwww he wants a vw vehicle he tells his friends all about the show.we are a 6 member vw car club and we want to thank you so much for the beautiful crossing over the bridge footage.just to think my family was so well received is something never to be forgoten! thank you ,thank you so much for the wonderful show and for having taken the time to send us a email with the footage! we have a 1st show coming up and we would love to see you all come. we are in the samba.com on june 7 th port charlotte fl.event. I cant wait to go over the bridge again as a vw family.great job to all involved . sincerely tony & cathy silva
