Contrary to rumors, Marie spoke of how much she loves and supports her daughter, despite her own Mormon religious convictions.
Naturally, the gay marriage question came up, and, we're proud to say, Marie spoke in support of civil rights for everyone, regardless of orientation.

I've always admired that Donny and Marie Osmond have never stopped and have always kept working. They just keep going and never let anything get them down.
With this news, my respect for Marie Osmond has soared. It cannot be easy when one is a believer in a faith to take a public stand that is so clearly at odds with what that faith preachs. She is being very brave here.
She is, also, giving a terrific public demonstration of acceptance of and support for her lesbian daughter, Jessica. This is a wonderful example for people to witness of how a mother should treat a gay child.
Kudos to Marie!

I think it's great that she came out and opened up about her daughter and gay marriage in general. It must be hard for her due to her faith. I will go post on her website to declare my appreciation.
