There is a Need for a New World Order???

This new world order phrase sure gets tossed around a lot . Everyone has their own definition too . Humanity is too diverse to fit in to any one concept . It would be nice if their were no more multinational corporations and universal healthcare and education though . That is possible . Lets just try to master civilization first , okay ?

well if you dream of the future to be like that of star trek .. with earth as one people .. where all life is wonderful and there is no want or need .. a social utopia .. where earth is one of a federation of planets and we boldly go where no one has gone ..

trouble is that's fiction and if there is to be a new world order it will likely be one based on greed and the elitist's maintaining control over the masses .

But who's world order? the peoples world order acording to the people?

And unclecharlie, what do you mean this will strip people of the right to free speech in religious matters and that freedom of religion will be squashed as it already is now?? Freedom of religion is more prevalent than ever! There has never been a time where populations are as diverse as they are now! And right to free speech?!! Do fundamentalist Christians listen with an open ear when other religions try to express their ideals? No. They tell them they're going to hell!

Organized religion has, historically, built metaphorical walls of defense. Religious people, of all faiths, always seem to be defending their beliefs while looking down on the beliefs of others. We need to dissolve these walls and work together on creating bridges of understanding. And what a selfish thing to say, "we don't need to make it worse for those who are Christian." There is no They, there is only We. And with Christianity, why are there hundreds of different denominations? A church diviseth is no church at all.

Will people NEVER stop trying to live in a make believe world? People, being people, will NEVER get to the place where we're all in agreement, living in happy accord, each taking care of the other. Utopia is a lie. Just accept that and try to live in the real world.

BTW, I think the Constitution addresses all our needs.

The US Constitution is the best document that has been instituted which provides for the essentials you are looking for.

You sound like us Christians with this idea that all people are good and selfless.
In your world we would need no national health care after all that is Government interfering. No national defense because everyone would be at peace, no local police as there would be no criminals, no national disaster relief because everyone will voluntarily pitch in, feed, and house the disaster refugees.
I think we should be focusing our energy and resources on resolving the issues society faces today instead of day dreaming about an utopia world that will not come about by the efforts of man as he is today.
It’s just an excuse to do nothing but talk instead of getting off our asses and doing something to help our fellow man.

We're already groomed for it .. the world is chalked full of gutless, witless, turds and many of them drive minivans in this country. If you found yourself wasting away on the couch in front of a passive television screen for hours this weekend, I'm talking about you! I'm hoping a high IQ and being within my BMI counts for something in the NWO.

I didn't view this article as being as negative as some of you. What I thought he was talking about is where a "new world order" is made up of free individuals. Or the NWO concept is individualism and personal responsibility with a very small centrally located government that takes care of infrastructure and the main power lies with the states. And the small government can mediate between the state arguements. Sounds like what used to be a Republican ideal.

Our two party system has failed us, something needs to be changed. When power and money are the primary goals in society then we have corporate mess on our hands. Also, when power and money are the primary goals then we have a large government with large handouts to maintain it's power structure. As long as the government shells out money and privilege to the masses, you are going to have very few who want individuality and personal responsibility. We can always blame the government. Isn't that what we do today?

We need a NWO that fears it's people, not the other way around.

I think we need an Office of the Caesar. There is one person in this office.
However, it controls secondary offices, the first of which would be Office of the Caesar of the United States.

Present governmental structures are kept intact, just with the modification of Imperial dictate.
