The New World Order I have written about here is one that is meant for the people not some oligarchy.

This new world order phrase sure gets tossed around a lot . Everyone has their own definition too . Humanity is too diverse to fit in to any one concept . It would be nice if their were no more multinational corporations and universal healthcare and education though . That is possible . Lets just try to master civilization first , okay ?

yes you are correct, if no one belives in them selves or their actions, but what if we belived in our selves and we
acted in a way that reflected our interests and we did have a way, what then, star trak is no utopia, it is just another posible future.we as humans , counting every one of us,are intelagent and resonable, their are tendancys but we the people still have the power to unite behind what we belive in .thats why we have churches ,stadum games , concerts . We as humans have been uniting for thousands of years all the way back to the first camp fire, have no dought it will happen again ,but this time it will be diferrent,
right now their are more people at home than any other time in history at or on a computer, say the right combanation of words, you could have bilions of folowers, what would you ask them? perhaps," ware do we go from hear?" or "what should we include in our future" i created a web plat form to manage just
such a meeting of minds.no brag just doing my part for my children , making the future a better place than when i showed up , its my job, I take it seriously,

well if you dream of the future to be like that of star trek .. with earth as one people .. where all life is wonderful and there is no want or need .. a social utopia .. where earth is one of a federation of planets and we boldly go where no one has gone ..
yes we would need a new world order ..
trouble is that's fiction and if there is to be a new world order it will likely be one based on greed and the elitist's maintaining control over the masses . - 3 years ago

Jh, do you really think the general public is the deciding factor when it comes to electing a government official??
And also, no need to curse. That's no better than the ignorance you speak of. We can debate issues with air of integrity.

propaganda. the gov didn't fail the people, the people failed the gov.
Bush was the one that fucked both the liberals and the conservatives. but he got in because enough fucking ignorant americans thought he was the right choice TWICE.
so don't blame the gov. you advocate giving power directly to the people who made this enormous fuckup without anyone with actual intelligence to lead them. that'll end real fucking well.

yes there is the top few people who control things..but just because they have the money does not mean they have love...and remember God is LOVE...God is not made of money...Greed and selfish actions will only bring misery...the problem with the world is people only have faith in themselves and they need humility to believe in their Higher selves(aka God)...people do not have faith in theirselves to be better people and they do not have faith in their fellow man....the only thing people need is some SOUL...but this is their choice...they keep walking their soullless path...it is their choice to behave like robots and keep eating what they are fed...

We are amidst a time of real change. Not brought on by policy, law or doctrine but change brought about by a growing consciousness of people realizing we are all in this together. People everywhere are beginning to lose faith in the current systems, so naturally we will strive to create something better.

I think Jimi Hendrix said it best, "When the power of Love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."
gen468, why don't you believe in Heaven on Earth? Don't you believe in the Lord's prayer? "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven."
And unclecharlie, what do you mean this will strip people of the right to free speech in religious matters and that freedom of religion will be squashed as it already is now?? Freedom of religion is more prevalent than ever! There has never been a time where populations are as diverse as they are now! And right to free speech?!! Do fundamentalist Christians listen with an open ear when other religions try to express their ideals? No. They tell them they're going to hell!
Organized religion has, historically, built metaphorical walls of defense. Religious people, of all faiths, always seem to be defending their beliefs while looking down on the beliefs of others. We need to dissolve these walls and work together on creating bridges of understanding. And what a selfish thing to say, "we don't need to make it worse for those who are Christian." There is no They, there is only We. And with Christianity, why are there hundreds of different denominations? A church diviseth is no church at all.

Will people NEVER stop trying to live in a make believe world? People, being people, will NEVER get to the place where we're all in agreement, living in happy accord, each taking care of the other. Utopia is a lie. Just accept that and try to live in the real world.
BTW, I think the Constitution addresses all our needs.

OK. Let's say, for shits and giggles, I decide to join you in this "New World Order." But because I believe in a free and open exchange of ideas, and am willing to hear out differing opinions, I disqualify myself right then and there. I am a conservative catholic who believes in the Moral Law, and does not reject it. I believe in loving the sinner, but hating the sin, but by NOT loving the sin, and trying to make it the law of the land, I disqualify myself. As I am outspoken in my beliefs which are "politically incorrect" and will not bow to the PC police, I cannot be a part of your New World Order. True diversity on Current is not embraced, it is rejected. We should strive to welcome ALL into the fold, and not just those who agree with us!

unclecharlie, one of your points has been made by others here on Current over the course of the few months I have been participating (yeah, I know, after reading one of my posts it seems like YEARS, doesn't it?).
But I hear this criticism that "we should strive to welcome ALL into the fold and not just those who agree with us." I guess I don't know to whom you are directing this comment. Clearly there is a great deal of debate on this site between people on different sides of the same issue. But I will often see a phrase in one post like "you liberals" or "you conservatives" and smile a little because I have seen the same people who have been lumped together on THAT thread, fighting to the death on opposite sides of another.
I think I am in the vast majority of people here when I say that I welcome the participation of people who disagree with my positions and my politics. But if you mean that in order to "welcome" someone I have to "agree" with them -- that would subvert the whole purpose of the site, in my opinion -- so I don't think that is what you mean.
Do you mean the editorial policy of the people who manage the site? If so, is there some kind of policy or practice in which they are engaging that makes people feel unwelcome? (other than just posting streams of obscenities or threatening other participants, of course. That is not "diversity" it is "thuggery.")
Just wondering if I am missing something...

Re: your article.
You sound like us Christians with this idea that all people are good and selfless.
In your world we would need no national health care after all that is Government interfering. No national defense because everyone would be at peace, no local police as there would be no criminals, no national disaster relief because everyone will voluntarily pitch in, feed, and house the disaster refugees.
I think we should be focusing our energy and resources on resolving the issues society faces today instead of day dreaming about an utopia world that will not come about by the efforts of man as he is today.
It’s just an excuse to do nothing but talk instead of getting off our asses and doing something to help our fellow man. - 3 years ago

I didn't view this article as being as negative as some of you. What I thought he was talking about is where a "new world order" is made up of free individuals. Or the NWO concept is individualism and personal responsibility with a very small centrally located government that takes care of infrastructure and the main power lies with the states. And the small government can mediate between the state arguements. Sounds like what used to be a Republican ideal.
Our two party system has failed us, something needs to be changed. When power and money are the primary goals in society then we have corporate mess on our hands. Also, when power and money are the primary goals then we have a large government with large handouts to maintain it's power structure. As long as the government shells out money and privilege to the masses, you are going to have very few who want individuality and personal responsibility. We can always blame the government. Isn't that what we do today?

Individual responsibility went out the window when people started putting fences on there property.
You talk down someone who is homeless. A mother on the street with children to feed.
Yet when your big corporate boss has , his million dollar home, his nice car with his trophy wife on the line. Where do find him. He is in front of the US Congress begging for a food stamp.
The person to blame is the person who voted for the person who voted not to hold the person accountable.

To describe a government as simultaneously corporatist and socialist is just fucking ignorant. That legislation allowing homeowners to renegotiate mortgages not passing because our legislature is owned by banking industry is corporatism. That we will get shitty health care legislation because that same legislature is owned by the insurance industry is corporatism. This is the last shitty blog I am reading that you post Shanky, though I'm sure it's not the last shitty blog you post. You and your libertarian ilk really should stick with what little you know about politics, and that is that you hate government and everything it does. Your efforts otherwise are utter misinformation and propaganda.

I think we need an Office of the Caesar. There is one person in this office.
However, it controls secondary offices, the first of which would be Office of the Caesar of the United States. This allows the addition of new offices, such as Caesar of the UK, Caesar of the EU, etc.
Sort of like an interconnected NATO, kind of thing.
Present governmental structures are kept intact, just with the modification of Imperial dictate.
Then, somebody with brains might actually get this world mess working.
