"kills" um, it was funny, as in chuckle, chuckle, but that can definitely not be classified as "kills"

I'm serious: this man has a future as a comedian after his Presidency.
I spit milk and cheerios out of my nose with the Dick Cheney joke.
Wanda Sykes' Palin and Rush jokes silenced the room, but I was laughing my ass off here at home... LOL!!
Loved it!
_____________
On to another point, during this recession, the President plays a major role in uplifting the spirits of people and get them thinking positive again.
It's part of his job and he's performed that task perfectly.

The roast was the first time the President mentioned same sex marriage in Iowa.

While I understand that President Obama probably didn't write this set, (but if he did all the more power too him!)
However I feel there is something to be said with how he presented himself. It flowed nicely. He obviously practiced, and as dumb as it sounds it means he took it seriously and cares.I think these are refreshing qualities for a leader to have.
Also He has an infectious smile.

Why hate on the Obama for cracking some jokes and having a good time? It’s the white house roast for god sakes, not a state of the union address.

Does everthing have to have some point or deeper meaning?
Can't levity just be levity because it's fun?
This was the best thing I've seen Obama do since he took office...

It's a roast. That's what you do at a roast - make jokes. That's the point. Obama is not the first president to take part in this tradition, and he won't be the last.

I was surprised that Colbert hasn't mentioned it yet.
Stewart brought up the fact that Colbert had TITANIUM BALLS when he did it and the controversy Sykes provided, but didn't mention the jokes that Obama told

"... my next 100 days will be so successful that I will complete them in 72 days. And on the 73rd day I will rest."
Was he playing on the fact that some people view him as a God?
Nonetheless, Barack killed it. Way to go.

I think he's having to much publicity stuff happening. He needs to stop appearing on every news channel possible and needs to start fixing America.

Epsilon4:
he is fixing america ( at least putting forth more effort than i have seen from a lot of past presidents), he just chose to be on a roast instead of scurry away to play golf at martha's vineyard (where bush spent massive amounts of his presidency). i think that the fact he can be so laid back with the public instead of serious and worried that he might say something wrong is a sign that we did something good by voting for him. (most people whose intentions are to deceive or aren't sure of their choices choose to withdraw and try to be judged as little as possible). keep it up obama. i like the new feel of this term.
