    • I love the NRA types who go on about the rapist and murderers who are going to come into their homes to get them.

      Like they wander around their homes strapped for war at all times.

      The fact is that having a firearm in your home makes you more likely to be a victim of violence than it keeps you safe. That is a simple fact and no amount of gun nut rhetoric can change it.

      When I left the police force I sold all my hand guns and most of my rifles for the simple fact that there is no logic to owning them except for hunting which is the reason I keep 2 guns now. Both are trigger locked, under lock and key and the ammo is at the other end of the house. The keys to the guns are also under lock and key.

      Bravado and swagger are great talk but until you have been in a real firefight you have no idea if you will even be able to shoot, much less get the damn thing out, loaded and ready for use before you're dead yourself.

      I've been shot at and shot back and I can say that there is no way spending your days on a gun range will get you truly ready. It won't.

    • NOOOO noooo give people guns just charge $100.00 each for bullets. Then you will think twice where you will use them. I kind of like the idea that just the rich will have bullets. Screw the gun laws. If criminals want guns, what do laws have to do with it???? Laws are made to restrict honest people and have no effect on the lawless.

      i sleep with a colt python 357 and a glock 9 under the pillow next to the one i lay my head on , a browning light 12 shotgun in the corner next to me and a 7mm rem. magnum rifle with a zeiss scope on it sighted in to within 1 / 100th of an inch to anywhere near the entrance to my driveway under my bed . if having guns makes me being a victim of gun crime more likely , i'm gonna prepared for it .

    • So, when Joe Schmoe, notorious rapist and burglar breaks into my house, I'll throw bullets at him. Sure. Then I'll call the police just before Mr. Schmoe kils me so they can come and take photos of my dead body. Sure! That's why I belong to the NRA!
